Jaezus, could we get off it already?!? Unless you consider me a racist, or don't know me at all, there's really no need to keep beating this horse, who was dead before it started. The bottom line is, Jared: do you require me to change it? If not, I think this issue died as soon as it hit oxygen, because I didn't put the damned avatar up there for that 'other' reason.Jared wrote:Maybe I misunderstood you BD. But it's clear that there are two implications of Kool-Aid, and that was just more evidence for the latter. (And looking back at my post, I clearly said that there were two implications, the Urban Dictionary one and the "cult leader" one.)

Been asking some of my co-workers whether Teal is a racist and... (joking!)
No actually, i was asking them if the Kool-Aid man is a racist stereotype. The average response was basically "No way. (pause) Well, maybe..." but no one could actually say why. I find it all fascinating. I'll go with whatever TheGamer says...

That Urban Dictionary is f*cking cool. You can take seemingly harmless cultural icons or random objects and is everything's filthy (or racist):bdoughty wrote:Urban Dictionary? Really Jared?![]()

Actually I think he was just referring to that incident where the reporter threw a shoe at Bush. At least I hope that's all it is. I don't think GTHobbes would make a comment like that unless it was towards EA.JackDog wrote:Shoe? Making cracks about my leg? Here's a thought that hopefully will defuse this sh*tstorm and appeal to everyone in here, regardless of political affiliation: The United States of America transferred power from one man to another without a coup, without a military junta and without the storming of the leader's residence for the 44th consecutive time since 1789.
I think that's pretty f*cking cool.
Take care,

Speaking of EA, I read over at OS today that the Playtest group and half the QA team at Tiburon got canned due to the economy. Sure should make for some interesting things happening in next year's Madden.ScoopBrady wrote:Actually I think he was just referring to that incident where the reporter threw a shoe at Bush. Doughty is used in reference to high grade pot? That is a first. Something tells me that some people from OS that I once banned, frequented that site.
Again, not really a site I would be using for reference.

No there have been 43 Americans to take the oath... This is the 44th time of the oath. Cleveland still had to sworn in the second time.fsquid wrote:43rd time you fecking liberal media commiepk500 wrote:Here's a thought that hopefully will defuse this sh*tstorm and appeal to everyone in here, regardless of political affiliation: The United States of America transferred power from one man to another without a coup, without a military junta and without the storming of the leader's residence for the 44th consecutive time since 1789.

Suffice it to say, I'm glad Bush's new first name is "Former".
Very nicely said. We still have a way to go, but today I think we took some major steps towards your seeing your hopes come true one day. Great post! Really enjoyed your thoughts.Danimal wrote: Finally I have hope that my children will live in a better world, one without prejudice, without hate, without evil and while I am not naive enough to think one man or one event is capable of such change.
