If he's healthy...you're all good. Love my boy furcy.MizzouRah wrote:We do, his name is Rafael Furcal.sportdan30 wrote:Great addition by the Braves to get Bourne. That guy is stud. Wish the Cards had a true lead-off hitter.
That's the big question with him - but I'm REALLY excited to finall have a true leadoff man/ss on this team!dbdynsty25 wrote:

What was Molina's problem? Geeze.sportdan30 wrote:Big win by the Cards last night. Gotta win today!
That was indeed a spectacle...although 5 games sounds pretty appropriate to me. Molina was extremely animated, but because he didn't really initiative anything too physical, I don't think you can come down extremely hard on the guy. 5 games in a pennant race is pretty significant to the team for sure.toonarmy wrote:A joke suspension on Molina today. Pete Rose got poked by an ump in the face and shoved him back and got 30 games. Molina went ape s*** on an ump and got 5. MLB must be getting advice from the NHL on suspensions.
5 seemed ok to me. Buster Olney made a good point that a player 'bumps' an ump & gets 5 games. A pitcher throws at a batter's head, he misses one start. Def doesn't make sense.toonarmy wrote:A joke suspension on Molina today. Pete Rose got poked by an ump in the face and shoved him back and got 30 games. Molina went ape s*** on an ump and got 5. Well an ump is different than another player. Physical contact with an ump has usually been considered about as taboo as it comes. I guess there is just a different standard now than in the past. Perhaps the fact that the call was clearly awful and Molina didn't really make a ton of contact with the ump played some role. The spitting aspect I don't buy since a lot of people have spittle fly out of their mouth when they yell. It was pretty clear he did not intentionally spit on the ump.greggsand wrote:5 seemed ok to me. Buster Olney made a good point that a player 'bumps' an ump & gets 5 games. I agree that the ump is different than another player but 5 games seemed okay to me also. Maybe a wee bit more but I would have not gone higher than 8 or 9.toonarmy wrote:Well an ump is different than another player. It was inevitable. Playing over their heads for 66% of the season was an accomplishment no matter which way you look at it...so it was a successful season regardless.Lancer wrote:Pirates losing 10 in a row, 10 games back now, ouch.
Yeah, HUGE couple of wins for the Tribe! Especially with Verlander going tonight, I'm glad we took the first two games of this series. And Kipnis, WOW!!! I'm sure the league will figure out how to pitch to him soon enough, but for now, let's enjoy!snaz16 wrote:Tribe takes the 1st 2 against the Motor City Kitty's and gets right back in it,

I always liked that kid coming up through Atlanta's organization. That was ridiculous.snaz16 wrote:What a horse Jason Marquis is. After getting hit in the leg with a liner, pitches out of the inning, and 13 pitches later his leg gives out. He was pitching with a broken fibula!!
I guess MLB The Show is more realistic than we thought.snaz16 wrote:What a horse Jason Marquis is. After getting hit in the leg with a liner, pitches out of the inning, and 13 pitches later his leg gives out. He was pitching with a broken fibula!!
