Well this is awesome. Amazon Prime members get 20% off new video game releases (from pre-order time frame to two weeks after they are released). It's only for the physical game which I prefer anyway, but still cool.
EA has launched a vault for PC gamers using Origin. It launches with 15 titles and the cost is $4.99 / month. There will be trials as well. I do not see a yearly option.

I am tempted for sure even though it'll be in the Vault eventually. I'll see how much I can get for my PS4 version towards my next PS4 purchase: MLB 16
Shadow of Mordor was an awesome game, even if you take all the LOTR stuff away from it. The nemesis system is a bit static under the hood, as you can easily see what makes what happen, but it's still cool to experience. You develop true rivalries with NPC characters, so that's a massive accomplishment. You kill a guy and he just...won't...go...away! Or he kills you and you try to beat him, but he keeps rising in power so you keep failing and you turn the bastard into a warlord.
Lots of cool outside-the-official-missions personal stories develop in that game. The entire game is derivative of something, but it's the good kind. Combat is like the Batman games, traversal is like the Assassin's Creed games, it's got Ubisoft-style collectibles and challenges everywhere, but it's polished well is absolutely worth it under $20.
Thanks, Terry. My only reservation is lack of interest in Middle Earth and all of that mythical Middle Ages sh*t that inspired so many Robert Plant lyrics. Thank God for Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Bonzo.
Mordor appears to be a fine game, with glowing reviews and far more legs than Ryse. But there's something appealing to me about kicking ass as a gladiator, as the history of Ancient Rome interests me.
Hmm.
