I tried a few times. My launches pretty much suck in Forza. Always have. I either spin the tires too much, or too soon, or go too slow. You killed me every time in the Vette.
So there!
Good to know they invented a gimmick for we the slow guys.
I just tried that drive through traffic challenge again. I changed cars to yours and that did take a whole 5 seconds off of my time which leaves me...get this...9 seconds off of yours. Those f***ers just wont get out of my way!!!
Seriously I love these rivals things. Its really made me better. I have always played with the other assists off but before last week you could not have payed me to use a manual trans...but you needed to shave the times.
Once you pass level 50, you no longer win prize cars when you level up. You are given cash. I think level 51 is something like 105k credits. Kind of lame, but there are only so many cars. The Super GT cars are by far the best and most interesting in the game. Love those things.
Anyone notice how often the leader of a race will just run straight off the track and into the wall? It happens all the time. I think I saw it happen 5 races in a row. If they skid off the track but don't hit anything, they will come back onto the track with no regard for human life at all. I saw the leader skid off, come flying back on and take out the new leader a few races ago. I went from 3rd to 1st in one second.

I had a look last night, mate - is it the one at the Nurburgring where you've both used a Lamborghini concept car of some sort? I only did a few laps, because I found this bug where if you select XXXIV as your rival, his car seems to slow down and wait for you at turn 6
I love these Rivals things. I've done one Quick Race and five World Tour races. All the rest of my time has been spent doing Rivals challenges. Having a moving target that's always just barely in front of you makes the whole business incredibly addictive.
I figure you'll probably beat my time by a good 5 to 10 seconds, since there were 3 or 4 groups of cars I had to slow down for, but it should be entertaining.
And yeah...those Rivals things are great. I saw you had a faster time than me in the NASCAR rides, but I didn't even try to beat you on that one. I only had Don at first, so I turned a couple laps there and stopped. At least on the Nurburgring one, it gave me some dude I didn't even know as a rival, so I left it alone after that lol

Um um um....They gave me slower traffic than they gave you?
No sh*t. It's mind blowing that you were down in the 48 second range with the starter cars at the Top Gear track in what appears to be a refrigerator box with a lego motor.
You're almost a full 2 seconds faster than the rest of us there. I haven't even fired up the challenge to try, because I couldn't even catch Adam there using the same car you did
TCrouch wrote:Yeah, that doesn't shock me. I turned a 1:18 in 2 laps with about 7 or 8 mistakes there. I'm sure a 1:15 something is where it's at.
I turned in that 1:20 with a few mistakes but whenever I fix those something else breaks. When the first half is perfect I start feeling like Im going too fast and it just falls apart.
The overall board says Im in the top 11% out of 39,390 players.....You two guys are in a different league. Should be cool to watch you both put up your times.
I can't get anywhere near that lap in the starter car on the Top Gear track. I tried, briefly, but it just upset me.

1:15.873 for me. Couple of braking points I'm not pushing hard enough, couple of traction zones I'm pushing too hard and I haven't quite got the direction change through the quick esses sorted out. I'd guess I can go low to mid 15s if I hook the full lap up but that's about all I can see at the minute, though I have a suspicion you might prove me wrong soon enough.
The top guy on the leaderboard right now has a low 1:10. I can't even comprehend how that's possible, let alone do the lap time.

I fold!
Back to Dark Souls where its a lot easier than racing against you guys.
Don't give up, I need someone to battle with. I can be the Mendoza line for the DSP Club. The top times in most of these challenges have to be some kind of cheat exploit. We all know how good the numbers Terry and Adam can put up and they are legit. I cannot believe Adam's overall time on the Top Gear Challenge. He is about to break 26 minutes total, if he hasn't already. I had figured out when I first started it that a total cumulative time of 28 minutes would be pretty good and in the top 10% of the overall times posted and he has now beaten that by over 2 minutes. Damn.... However, I am still sitting at #2 in the "Star in a Resonably Priced Car" challenge (a whopping 2 seconds behind Adam).

Yep, sent you an invite in game. Sportdan is your gamertag sportdan30? I did not have you on my friends list, but they one I found seemed like it might be an old account. I will add you as well.
PS - Too bad that Forza 4 does not have Symmons Plains!
