PS4 Gold Headset on sale at Amazon for $85. Love this headset. Have watched a few movies and it adds to the great atmosphere in MLB The Show.

Microsoft Store (in store) will give you a $10 gift card for each PS3/360/Wii/PS4/XB1 game trade in, up to 5, if you preorder any 360 or XB1 game. Offer expires 6/15.

http://content.microsoftstore.com/en-us ... n-giftcard

Great way to ditch some older games if you have an MS store nearby.

I put $10 down on the Master Chief Collection and got a $50 gift card for trading in Dark Sector, The Club, Just Dance 2 (Wii), Millionaire Kinect and COD:WaW.

No one else jumped on the MS deal?

I ended up trading in 19 basically worthless games for $190 in gift cards which I will use towards my 4 preorders: Forza Horizon 2, Evolve, Sunset Overdrive and MC Collection.

I've never even seen a MS store in person so it is hard to take advantage of that deal

Same here, closest store to me is 60 miles away, so the gas mileage would kill that deal anyway.

Some interesting new potential reward options with regards to the Summer Steam Sale

http://store.steampowered.com/promotion/summer2014faq
1) Craft badges
Collect all 10 Summer Adventure trading cards to craft the badge.

You can get trading cards in a few ways: as a reward for purchasing from the Steam Store (1 card per $10 USD or equivalent), crafting game badges, voting in the Community’s Choice sale (1 card per 3 votes), by trading, or by purchasing them in the Community Market. Read more specifics in the FAQ.

2) Earn rewards and points
Crafting the Summer Adventure Badge gets you:

1 in-game item (or 5 for the foil badge)
1 emoticon
1 profile background
a chance at a Team Token
10 points (or 100 for the foil badge)

To earn more points you can keep crafting the badge during the sale.

Summer Adventure Badge - 10 points
Summer Adventure Foil Badge - 100 points
any other game badge - 1 point
any foil game badge - 10 points

3) Each day 1 team wins
Everyone is randomly assigned to a team when they click the "Join a Team" button above or when they craft a badge. Your points count toward your team’s daily total.

Each day the team with the most points wins. 30 members of that team who contributed points that day will win 3 games off their Wishlist. Make sure to update your Wishlist.

Anyone who contributed points to that win will get 2 bonus Summer Sale trading cards. Everyone else who contributed points that day will get 1 bonus card.

The points are totaled and a new day begins at 10am PDT.

You know you have a problem when the last few sales had nothing that you either didn't already own or that you wanted.

My Steam library is up around 250 games, so unless I find some magical indies in the sale, these things don't get me as excited as they once did :(

I'm in the same boat, except i have 324 games and over $200 in my steam wallet :)

I did buy a Forced 4 pack and also Divinity Original Sin, some of the review compared it to Ultima VII which was enough for me to buy. Played an hour last night and it's a lot of fun.

I actually debated that Divinity game, but held off on it. Wasn't sure whether I'd really buy into it or not. For games to cost me $25 or more on a Steam sale, they had to be something that I really wanted or some sort of bundle. I thought I recalled mixed reviews on that one...now you have me debating again with less than an hour to go.

Getting my computer back tonight (RMA, CPU was overheating, just had the CPU and both video cards replaced), so I'm sure I'll be tinkering with it. If I get that installed and going, absolutely.

I think Microsoft is going to need several of these kinds of bundles at this price to make headway. It basically makes the console $350, which should have been the price point when the dropped the Kinect in the first place. It is a hell of a deal if you are going to play Madden anyway and don't have a next gen console. I think sports gamers are a decent niche to lock in, but they kind of need to do the same with Call of Duty, Halo, and and something else to really move units.

Sunset Overdrive is officially coming as a bundle with a white console, which should move a few, but I doubt it will be $399, at least at first. There are enough folks that want the white console that they ought sell them for full price.

I'm waiting for a $299 Kinectless unit -- either with a game bundle or standalone -- before I considering jumping to the One. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if a major U.S. retailer offers that as a doorbuster or morning sale on Black Friday this November.

I bought my 360 for $199 when the regular unit sold at $299 retail on Black Friday a few years ago. But the 360 was further into its life cycle by then, so maybe my dream of a $299 One this November is foolish. Then again, the 360 led the PS3 in sales when I bought my 360. MS is getting trounced now, so it may offer these kind of loss-leader discounts to spur sales and close that gap around the holidays.

Good point about MS getting their ass handed to them. I'm more than a cheapskate than you though and will wait for a $199 unit before I even think about it. Not enough incentive to upgrade IMHO.
