Steelers will win by 10, for these reasons:

1. Steelers' defense is better. No defense should allow Caleb Hanie to come cold off the bench -- CALEB HANIE, people! -- and hang 14 points on them in one half. Plus the Steelers allowed just 70 yards rushing to the Jets. The Packers might tickle triple digits in rushing against the Steelers, but not much more.

2. Steelers have a legitimate running game. Mendenhall vs. Starks? Mendenhall and the Steelers' O line, all day. The Steelers can ground and pound probably better than any team in the NFL. That will keep the ball out of Rodgers' hands and wear out the Packers' defense. The Steelers' opening drive yesterday against the Jets was masterful and a blueprint for Feb. 6.

3. Steelers have been there. The core of this Steelers' team won the Super Bowl two years ago. Most of the Packers haven't been there. The Steelers know how to prepare for this game. The Packers think they know how to prepare for this game. That's a big difference.

Would be hard for me to smack talk about the Packers as they are my favorite team in the NFC. I think the majority of Steeler fans have a like and respect for Green Bay as they are a very similar team to us with loyal fans that are very knowlegeable. Win or lose, looking forward to a great Super Bowl.

Hard to argue with any of that. I was very impressed with their run defense against the Jets. They also had great ball posession drives and that will aid in keeping the ball out of Rodger's hands. I just think Pitt's win quality has been higher than that of GB's.

I was at the Bears game yesterday, and everyone in the stands wondered why Todd Collins was in the game. After the Carolina game, there was no question Hanie should have been the second-string QB. The Bears basically pissed away two series playing the old man instead of the kid.

It was a frustrating loss because I felt like the Bears could have won the game with better execution and especially coaching. The defense played well but basically spotted the Packers seven points by playing very soft on the opening drive. Hester had a sure TD in the first if he hadn't broken off his route. Cutler missed Knox for another TD. And then there was Lovie's awful, awful timeout at the end, which killed what looked like a running play that was going to go for a big gain.

As for Cutler, I find it hard to question his toughness when I've seen him get absolutely destroyed all season and usually bounce back up. He's taken probably more hard hits than any QB in the league this year and still played except when he had a concussion. Being able to stand on your feet and being able to plant and throw are two very different things that the Grabowski armchair physicians of the world don't understand. He certainly could have handled being removed from the game better, but at the same time, I think if he felt he could have played, he would have.

Here's hoping the Steelers absolutely brutalize the Packers.

He's taken a lot of hits this year too.

On Sanchez, the question is about his arm strength, particularly in late season games in the NE with strong winds making it tough to hit certain outside routes. It is his second year but team has him on a tight leash, not letting him make a lot of presnap adjustments -- same was noted about Flacco too.

But Jets seem bullish on him, from the moment they moved up to draft him. They've been winning since he came on, but he's had some awful games.

If you watched the game yesterday, you would have seen his arm strength is more than adequate. He zipped some passes into very tight quarters with plenty of velocity on the ball.
Compared to Atlanta's Matt Ryan, Sanchez has a cannon. IMO, arm strength is a non issue with Sanchez.

People were furious about the end-around. My seats were in the endzone where the Bears were driving, so I had a good view of both the play negated by the time out (which looked like it was going to easily get more than the 2 yards the Bears needed for the first) and of the end-around, which was just plain stupid.

The funny thing is, if you told me at the start of the season the Bears would go 11-5 and play in the NFC Championship, I would have taken that in a heartbeat. But seeing them get close only to come up short hurts. I will tip my hat to them for not quitting. The first half had all the makings of a Bears playoff blowout, but they hung in there and fought hard in the second half.

I think the Steelers are he toughest matchup the Pack will face all season. I would say the Steelers are the favorite, but we have a good shot at them. The dome will help the passing game, and that is what they will need in order to beat the Steelers. We haven't had a running game most of the year, so they're used to that. If they can pass on them like they did agaisnt the Falcons, they have a good shot at winning.

Mendenhall brutish??? I don't think so. He's fast but he's not Turner type powerful.

As far as stopping Big Ben. Look at the playoffs.
They beat Vick and McCoy in Philly.
They beat Turner and Ryan in ATL
They beat Forte and Cutler/Collins/No name guy in Chicago.
They also shut out the Jets in NY in the Regular season.

The Packers D has done a great job this season considering all the injuries.
Can they do it again in the Super bowl? I hope so.

I think not.

I think that the Packers D can hold the Steelers offense to less points than the Packers offense can put up against the Steelers D. The Steelers had the #11 rushing game in the NFL, just 30 yards above teh Falcons (who they beat). Up a few hundred yards higher than that are the Eagles (who they beat). The Steelers have the better running game, but the Packers have the better passing game.

On defense I think the Steelers have more big names, but guys like Williams and Raji have really been stepping up recently. It looks like it will be a good game, and one that the Packers have a 50/50 chance of winning.
