I suck. What level are you guys playing on? I can't seem to time the 3 pointers correctly.

All-Conference no slider changes. Having an easy time with OU dynasty. Plenty of close games but no losses with the North Texas Dynasty.

I have not seen the need to bump up the AI 3 point slider so far as they are heaving them up there pretty good so far. It also helps to be ahead by double digits as they get desperate and are forced to shoot more from the 3 point line.

On the three pointers you need to make sure you are uncontested as I am pretty sure that factors in BIG on your %. In a zone pass the ball around quickly to get an open look. Or run a play that gets your 3-point shooter a look. Against a man to man use the pump fake to get the defender in the air. Then step over and drain it.

I can't say for sure but it seems that players will shoot better if they are within the flow of an offensive play, ie a 3 point shooter coming off a pick or stepping out to the 3 point line. Just controlling a guy and running him around on the dribble to the 3 point line and shooting seems to be much more innefective, as it should be.

Is momentum still factored in, ie hot / cold streak? My leading scorer missed his first 3 shots in my last game, and ended up going 2 - 18 from the field. Considering he averaged 18 ppg, I figured it was a cold streak and maybe I needed to talk to him, but I didn't see anything to indicate that he was cold etc.

It is kind of hard to find but if you go to management, rosters, Push Down on the R-Thumbstick over the player, the move the black or white buttons until you get to tendencies. You can scroll through players with the R/L Triggers. It will show their shooting tendancies, etc and at the far right their disposition graph. Personaly I would just go by the ratings movent of players and how they perform in the game. Of course if your coach does not have a good disciplne rating that will hurt you in the area of pep Talks.

Well, it looks like I may cave and buy this game for the Xbox after all. The 360 version has been pushed back.

Thanks I would have never found that.

I would really love to hear people talk strategy on this game, how you manage your weekly coaching time, how your coach is set up etc.

I always feel like i am missing something if I don't sim a day at a time, do some recruiting etc. I'm curious how others play. I really need a strategy guide for how to make the most out of legacy. A lot of things I don't get (I'm sure they are in the online manula )

But for instance one of my guys has the 3 point symbol at the start of every game and it always disappears through the game, no matter how he is shooting. One game he start 6-6 from 3 point range and still lost the symbol. Why is that?

Anyone who has this game and an AR, I could use a favor.

I have no AR, but I would love to get the rosters of this game. I could send you a mem. card onto which you could drop the save, and then ship it back, or something like that. Let me know here or drop me a PM.

Thanks!

Ratings will fluctuate during a game. You have to be at a certian overall level to keep a start rating, just as you have to be at individual levels to keep a 3 point rating, speed, etc rating. It is kind of wonky how it works but that is the only explanation I can give.

I am not really heavy on the recruiting myself and let the CPU handle it for the most part.

Question for those who have played NBA2K6 on the 360 and CH on the Xbox. How difficult is it to go back and play CH on the Xbox after playing NBA 2K6 on the 360? I know it's all matter of opinion, but just curious.

Thanks.

It's not at all...the differences are actually welcome. The zone defenses make things a little more difficult because you can't use the tried and true scoring options that work in the nba game. Having to work the ball around more and find the open guy is actually quite a bit of fun. The only issue is that of the graphics. LOL...it's a little difficult to look at after enjoying the visuals of the 360.

Thanks db. I guess my only concern was graphically speaking. However, as I think back, there are still a lot of games that I still enjoy playing from the NES days and the graphics have no bearing on the gameplay. And CH is far from looking like a**. Heck, for $20 it's worth purchasing.

Hey guys. Now that this is out for the PS2 I'm looking at picking it up. Question though. I've read a bit that the polls and tournament selection gets pretty screwed up in Dynasty mode, with teams like Appalachian State climbing into the top 10 and getting a 2 seed in the tourney. Is this true? How much does it effect the fun of a Dynasty? Any info is appreciated.

I've heard this to be the case as well. Sure hope they make the necessary improvements for the 360.

This problem has always been in this game, and it really bother me. Seems like their strength of schedule algorithm is messed up.

It is by far the worst part of the Legacy mode. The top 25 ranking is hilarious bad.

Others have also vented frusturation at the unrealistic heights of recruits as well as too many 4 and 5 star players. I do think the developers listen to their fans and next year's game will be a more significant improvement regarding the legacy mode.

The 7 footers I think is a ticky tacky gripe. There is w/o a doubt too many 3+ star recruits, though. It makes it far too easy for the Pepperdine's of the world to get good too quick. I went to Scout.com and counted up the numbers and CH2K6 has a significant number of 3+ star players compared to what is normal.

An example of the top 25 AI: It's late December of my Legacy and Troy is 10-0 and ranked #9.

Man I wish stuff like that did not piss me off so much. It almost sours me on the whole game, which it proably should not.

I can not stand how in CFB and CBB games you can schedule anyone you want in the non conference season. This is a huge part of the sports, as a mid major teams needs to have 4 or 5 good years to get a shot at a big boy. This somehow should be reflected in the college games. Playing with Bowling Green, I should not be allowed to schedule the entire Top 10 back to back.

That is not true if you are a mid-major you never get a chance at a Big Boy because the Big Boys are scared of you. If you are a low-major, all the Big Boys want to play you because they get the easy W.

Knew you wouldn't hold on to this game too long. I feel the same way after a few days of playing it. After playing NBA 2K6 on the 360, you almost have to force yourself to turn on the big black and green box to play CH. It's simply not as enjoyable.

Still, I will pick up CH for the 360.

Well since I got the 360 I haven't even touched it. In fact, I'm probably just going to sell the Xbox. I'm only worried about the baseball games this year and keeping the Xbox for MVP 05, but i'll probably just pick it up on the cheap for the PC if all else fails on the baseball front on the 360. And yes, I will definitely be getting College Hoops on the 360. Now if only we could figure out a way to get all the named players on to it. Hopefully Action Replay will be another mainstay on the 360.

BTW...the xbox version already sold on ebay so it's not available any longer.

Just played my first two games on Xbox Live with this game.

WOW!!! Just a great experiance against some randoms.

My first game was BC (myself) at Duke. This guy kept JJ Reddick underneath the opposite hoop when I had the ball which was kinda of cheating. I just dominated the game since it was 5 v 4 throughout and I beat him by like 25.

My next game was Kansas visiting me at Boston College. I jumped out to a 20-5 lead on this guy and he made a great comeback to hit a three pointer with 6 seconds remaining to tie the game and thus send it to OT. I ended up winning in OT by like 10 points. His name was BoB MaRl3ys SoN. He played a straight up game.
