I agree, this really got the seson going again. Eko is a stud. I think the incient that is mentioned is another form of the others attacking.

I hope ecko putes about 10 rounds into that monster/really fast backhoe
the others use to attack people.

The appearence of Black Beauty was stupid, but I would be a horse for a day(month/year) to have kate riding me.

Anna Lucia is a widely hated character.

Lot of fans want Butch Rodriguez dead.

I'm torn on Ana Lucia. Either the show is going down hill by force feeding us this annoying character, or Michelle Rodriguez is a phenomenal actress because I don't know if I have ever hated someone this much.

No new episodes until January?!? I waited this long for things to get good again, this waiting is painful.

I don't get people sometimes. The Michelle Rodigruez character isn't supposed to be some lovable teddy bear character. The "haters" seem to want all the lost characters to be upstanding citzens. That's not what drama is about.

Of course we're supposed to hate her. Every show needs the good guys and bad guys right? I don't think people here on DSP are "hating that she's in the show, cause everyone should be June Cleaver"... more like hating the character herself, as intended by the writers.

I should have been more clear. I wasn't targeting the people here with my comment. Mostly the general sort of internet vibe I get around the character is that they don't like her so, she's a mistake, i.e. she should be killed off. I was more reacting to that mentality which I've seen around quite a bit which annoys me.

The show needs Rodriguez's character because Sawyer isn't nearly the dastardly character he was in the first season. People might sympathize with him after he was shot and nearly died, and his romantic storyline with Kate -- as twisted as it may be -- is making Sawyer look downright cuddly compared to last season.

She was pretty annoying but I think they wrote her character poorly. That waited until she died to give any sort of context to why she was basically a manipulative b*tch. I think people will accept flaws in a character in drama as long as they can see the context or the emotional under-pinnings. They waited too long for her character imo.

If she went back to wearing bikinis, Shannon was infinitely more useful than Anna Lucia.

They basically brought her in to pad more episodes with back-stories and other sub-plot arcs. AL, Eko and others are not integral to the main story but since they've killed off a couple of the original main characters, they need more new ones to keep the series going for a few more years.

Without revealing the main arc.

I don't think she's suppose to elicit negative reaction. Or at least, negative reaction which would lead viewers to tune out if an episode center on her. If hatred for a character makes people watch, then they wouldn't mind.

She's suppose to be sympathetic, coming from a tough life, with baggage like others on the island. But she may alienate viewers and ratings may dictate what they do with her character more than anything else.

I'm a big fan of Rodriguez's character. I like the way the show is going the last few episodes. I could do without Charlie...he's annoying. Harley needs more camera time. I find it funny no one believes he won the lottery

Someone on another forum said she was busted a few years back for decking her room mate.

So Michelle Rodriguez isn't acting out the part of Anna Lucia so much as being herself.

Tremendous episode last night! Ecko is quickly becoming my favorite character on the show. Very interesting background info on Ecko. I loved it when he stared down the "Black Smoke" creature.
