I just saw this about an hour ago.

I hot lapped Jerez for about 30 minutes. Finally Got a 1:23 or so in an old Lotus.

looking at the friends leader board I see it was the wrong Lotus?

Sorry guys, I didn't even make it to 10. I dozed off on the couch and woke up at about ten after, but by the time I got the 360 on and logged in, I only saw XXXIV on doing laps. Hopefully Monday we will be able to race!

I was on turning laps, but had to be on invisible to avoid getting invites to another game session at the time. I had gotten invites to the party before that way, so I was just waiting for it to form up and hop in.

Not sure what you mean, Alex--the "wrong" Lotus? I didn't know there was a specific Lotus or what you're talking about. I know I turned some laps in the current Lotus because I like driving that car, and Zep had mentioned it was going to be Jerez in current cars. But I wasn't doing any time trial or something where there was a "right" car to choose, if you mean the leaderboard had some lap from me on it. If it's somebody else, then disregard this entire paragraph :)

We did a Racenet time trial at Jerez in the 98T, the 1986 car, a while back. Suspect Alex has ran laps in a Lotus of another description (from his post, I guess the 100T. If it's the modern one, then it's a Lotus of a totally different team - I'm not sure we've explained that one to Alex yet...), seen the leaderboard times from our Racenet event and wondered what was going on.

XXXIV: you're not wrong. Just different :P

Ok folks:

Football is over so we have our Mondays back for Monday Night Racing.

I'd like to start at 10 pm EST. As always, we will do 25% races with the 15 minute qualifying session (where we can - Classic cars only allow the One Shot qualifying). Rules and flags will be set to Reduced, weather set to Dynamic, tire and fuel consumption On, all assists allowed except Brake Assist which will be banned, and we will fill the grid with Pro level AI.

I'd like to try to do modern cars at Jerez to start with. After that, if I can stay awake, we can run some classic cars at an awesome modern track like Austin maybe or perhaps Malaysia or something crazy. Maybe Brazil. Classics at Brazil sounds pretty cool.

Anyway, who's in?

I'm hopeful that we will see more than the usual two or three make it on Mondays from now on. A lot of guys got this game around here, so if Monday isn't a good night for racing please chime in with suggestions for better nights. This game is way, way too excellent for us to miss out on the awesome racing and good times it can provide.

I'll be in there like swimwear! Got a new headset for Christmas, so I won't have to worry about my duct-taped headband falling off my head again

I cannot start at 10 p.m. Just learned my daughter has a lacrosse game at 9, ending around 10. I must pick her up and won't be back until around 10:15 p.m.

Sorry. I'll try to join you for the second race.

I don't know guys. I'm very discouraged about trying to get race nights going in this game. It's a shame because when it first released, there were immediately a lot more guys who got it than had ever got 2012, but at this point there just aren't enough to make racing worthwhile. If it were a problem of finding a night of the week that works well for the most people, that would be one thing, but at this point it seems to be more of a case of very few interested in racing and/or very few with the time to play games online during the week.
