Suns lost to Portland. Missed the game, but that was pretty surprising.

Hawks took care of business in game 1 at home. They had their typical late game collapse, but thankfully they built up a huge lead in the 1st half.

About KG....I watched the replay buit it didn't look that bad to me. It also looked like someone else came over to him and was the instigator. I don't care because I hate KG, but I want Boston to win that series because I would rather the Hawks face Boston next, rather than Miami.

The Cavs get the winner of the Boston/Miami series. Of course, that's *IF* we get past the Bulls. :D

That's right. Hawks would play the winner of the Orlando/Charlotte series.
We would only meet the Cav's in the East Finals. See you then Lex! :)

Could it be that all it took was Q-Rich to wake this team up?

I haven't seen this Celtic team play this good and with this intensity in a LONG time.

Still don't think they can beat the Cavs, but it will take this kind of effort to at least make it a competitive series.

Or could it be that the Heat are terrible? I vote for the latter. My wife is a big Heat fan and I've seen em play quite a bit this year...and it's as simple as outside of the top 4 teams in the East...the rest of the conference is garbage. Round 2 will be the true measuring stick.

Oh, no doubt, the Heat are not an elite team, not even close, but I was more impressed with the Celtics effort, their emotion? This guys basically slept through the season after Christmas.

Again, doesn't mean I think they can beat the Cavs.

Seems like there was a lot of that going on in the East this year. The top four figured out their seeds pretty early and coasted for quite a while, which may lead to some surprises in the postseason.

Man, two days off between games is one too many. I wish they'd do like the NHL, go every other day.

In Boston, just the way schedules worked out, the Celtics and Bruins are playing at home at the same time, so the Garden keeps having to get switched back and forth from hockey to hoops. Must be a b*tch for arena personel. :)

That's nothing for that crew. Day after Thanksgiving every year the Bruins play a day game and the Celtics a night game.

It's amazing what the Cavs can do when they actually try. All this talk about rotations, should they go big or small, Shaq or JJ, none of that matters if they don't put out the effort they showed yesterday from halfway through the second quarter to the end of the game, especially on defense.

It's like they've been sleepwalking through the last couple months of the season and a lot of the first round against Chicago. That's not going to work against Boston next round.

Hawks are driving me crazy. Why are they so bad on the road? How do you dominate the 1st 2 home games and then get blown out in game 3 in by the Bucks!!??? You can't be considered a top team when you lose every away playoff game.

The Suns need to be a little more consistent.

5 point loss
29 point win
19 point win
9 point loss
19 point win

I guess it's all or nothing this series.

The Hawks need a new coach. How smart do you have to be to see the Bucks exploiting our "switching defense"? It doesn't work against teams with quick penetrating guards. If the Hawks coaching doesn't come up with a defensive plan that works, we are doomed.

The upcoming Celtics' series worries me. I can't believe the Cavs let the Bulls hang around all night last night. Even though LeBron almost had another triple-double, he didn't seem himself, no killer instinct. I kept waiting for him to take control of the game and put the Bulls away once and for all but he never did. And who knows what's going on with his elbow? It's got to be worse than he's letting on. The more he says "don't worry" the more worried I get.

Plus, the Cavs where pretty lucky last night.

Bulls had some shots rolled out of the rim late and the rebound Noah lost out of bounds on that funky bounce the ball took.

The game changed after Rose's And 1 was called off (awful call). Could have been a Bulls 2 point lead with momentum, ended up with a 3 point play for Lebron on the other end.

Still, I agree with Charles Barkley, the Cavs should win this series easily.

They had the best record in the league and they're going against an aging Celtics team that doesn't even play that good of a defense.

Hope the Celtics at least make it interesting.

With his gambling record, I'd feel better if he liked the Celtics. :D

It should be a great series. I'm anxious to see how Shaq does against Boston. The Chicago series was more up-tempo, transition basketball, not really his style. This series should be slower, more half-court offense, hopefully he'll have more of an impact.

He actually predicted the Magic would beat the Cavs last year.

I remember Kenny and EJ where laughing at him on the show.

The Hawks are about as close to being an elite team in their current form as the Braves are close to being an offensive powerhouse..

and yes it starts at Woodson - he should have been fired years ago.

1. Woodson
2. JJ needs to learn how to pass out of a double team. He needs to want to be a winner more than he wants to be a star. Those two are conflicting.
3. Stop playing me ball and play team ball. Their lack of ball movement is awful.
4. Find someone to start at 5 so Horford can play the 4.
5. Josh needs to penetrate more and shoot less jumpers - though he has improved GREATLY in this department in the past couple of years... he still shoots too many set shots from 15 feet.
6. They need a PG that can do more than shoot a 3.. maybe one that can play some defense and penetrate some. Bibby is too slow.

7. Don't lose game 5 at home vs injury riddled Bucks team.

The Bucks are up 3-2 in a playoff series? Looks like it may be time for me to watch an NBA game again :)

Ha, you sound like me seven years ago:

That ping-pong ball bounced the Cavs way? Looks like it may be time for me to watch an NBA game again :)

I'll never forget that night. I was at the Tribe game and all of a sudden there was this weird murmur going through the crowd. Then a few seconds later they put it up on the scoreboard that the Cavs just won the lottery to draft LeBron. The place erupted!!! The umps had to call timeout for a while because the baseball players were all looking around like, "WTF?!" :D

I was at the game last night and I can't remember the last time another team has disappointed me as much as the Hawks last night. The Bucks shot 40% and STILL managed to beat us. We were up by 9 with 4 min's to go and we STILL lost. How the heck does your all star GUARD foul out
of the game with 2 minutes to go! When Joe Johnson left the game, we look as confused as Richard Simmons at a rugby match.

Agree 100% that Woodson has to go. This team has talent, but doesn't seem to know how to apply it. You think Skiles would let Josh Smith stand around at the 3 point line? The team has evolved past the days where JJ HAD to carry the team with his 1 on 1 ISO offense, but Woodson is still stuck in those days. We have a quick penetrating PG like Jennings sitting on the bench (Jeff Teague) but he has not beed developed at all by Woodson. Bibby is too slow and cannot play major minutes against quicker guards who go by him like he's standing still.

If ATL can't go get a win in Mil., then they don't deserve to move on. How would they expect to win in Orlando if they can't win in Mil.?
