f*** Davey Lopes and his bad hair
The irony of the coaching staffs in this series is funny. Davey Lopes, who was hated in Philly for the infamous blown call in the '77 NLCS, is coaching the Phillies. Larry Bowa, who as we all know is a Phillie through and through...managed and coached the Phils after playing on the World Series champs in 1980, is coaching 3rd for the Dodgers. Mariano Duncan, who played for the Phils briefly but was loved on the 93' World Series team, is coaching the Dodgers. Good stuff.

The Padres managed to teach Lopes the error of his ways during his time with us as a 1st base coach. The Dodgers must die!

Plus Charlie Manuel being Manny's hitting coach back in Cleveland.
It's weird, I find myself more interested in the NLCS this year than the ALCS. Probably because of those two.

You sir are correct. I also forgot about Victorino being a fairly big prospect with the Dodgers a several years back. The Phillies rule 5'd him. Irony, irony, irony.
Huge win for the Rays against Lester. This team just continues to amaze me. Garza was on, Upton and Longoria continue to impress with some long HR. If they can steal another game at Fenway, look out.

Some things Stairs said after the game make me wonder...
Stairs said afterward that he wanted a hit to feel as if he had made a contribution to this team, so he could get back to the dugout and be the cause of a celebration.
"Getting your [butt] hammered by guys, there's no better feeling," Stairs said.
Might want to find a better choice of words there buddy!
BIG GAME TONIGHT. I would love to clinch the NL at home but lets get this over with tonight. Hamels needs to get off to a quick start and keep that Dodger offense at bay.
