Just this week, Amazon was selling Far Cry 3 for both consoles for $19.99

Rod - have you played the game? I am interested in it but really not into FPS but sort of want a change from sports gaming. I have read rave reviews, but sort of want to get some impressions from this board.

Fun game. Easy to pick-up and play as well. Lots of different types of missions as well as just running around killing stuff. Worth the $20.

I haven't waiting for the Steam sale. DB's played both the PC and console version. I think he said there were framerate issues with console version. Based on the reviews the 360 holds up better than the PS3 version.

The game is stellar based on all the reviews i've read.

PC version is significantly better looking and a lot smoother, assuming you have a decent rig. Terry did some screen shots in the FC3 thread I believe. Awesome game either way.

I just built me a rig and in the process of building a Steam box so i'm looking forward to it on the PC.

I got stuck in one of the games original programming rushed release bugs and sold it as I wasnt going to start over after I spent hours doing the crappy side quest stuff..

Downloaded it and it picked up right where I had left off sans bug. Now I can maybe finish the sucker.

Not sure if someone posted but Batman Arkham City GOTY is $9.99 at BB this week.

They're sold out but Fry's had a lot and they priced matched. I really never played that game and it's maybe what I'm looking for from a break from sports games.

I got Fry Cry 3 too for $29.99 there but have not played it yet.

Just a heads up. I got this info from Gamespot. Supposedly Microsoft is having a HUGE ULTIMATE sale next week on a variety of games. Last week they were selling several decent games at $9.99 so hopefully we'll see the same thing.
