Markkanen did not lose the game for the Oilers in Game 2, unlike Conklin in Game 1. Markkanen played pretty well, save for one soft goal. The Oilers' defense did its best imitation of the Keystone Kops, and the offense was MIA, mainly due to Carolina's defensive discipline down low.
About the only stable position last night for Edmonton was goal. So why change that and create total chaos?
The series isn't over. At least not yet.
And for the record, the Oilers' third healthy goalie right now is Jeff Deslauriers, not Dubnyk.
