I didn't attend UofI, but I've been an Illini fan for as long as I can remember going back to the Bruce Douglas, Efrem Winters Doug Altenberger, George Montgomery era...I can't believe the Illini are going to be playing in the championship game. this is right next to the Cubs going to the World Series for me.. I am so pumped!!!

Only live about an hour from Decatur. Always been an Illini fan even though I am a Bradley alum. This has been a magical couple of months for Illinois. They are the consumate team. I think 89's team may have more talent..but these guys play such a team game I think they would beat the 89 group.
That team from 89 put 4 players in the pros. Anderson and Gill were long-time pros. Battle I think played a year or so for Utah or Denver. And Bardo, got a couple "cups of coffee" with Atlanta. But this year's team just moves the ball so well, and play so smart.
