No problem, with ceiling fans. And very, very easy on the wallet.

If the humidity is unbearable on four or five summer nights, I usually go for a midnight swim in the pool and then jump right in bed after a quick dry-off. No worries.

I know we don't have it as bad as CA, but WI is pretty crazy...or at least it is in the cities/surrounding areas. Its cheap as hell up north in BFE. We're the modest type and have a city lot in a suburb. We've thought about going to a newer/bigger house, but we want vacations, a bike, extra money...we don't want to be sucked into our payments. My wife only works part-time and will be even parter-time if I go days anytime soon. Plus how can you beat living on a street that shares your last name? People think we own the neighborhood

hmmm, I'm jealous. Here in Ottawa, it's about $110-190,000 for a one bedroom condo, from about 700 sq foot to 1000.

If you want a detached house anywhere within 1/2 hour of downtown, yer looking at abount $220-300,000!

Hell, my friends bought a freakin' townhouse for $212,000, and it must be about 1100 sq foot or so.

We bought in the city last summer. Our house was built in 1911, and had an addition put on in the 70's. It's close to 2500 sq. ft.. Not bad for a first home, but I'm 36. We went for a home we planned on retiring in.

Southwest Garden Neighborhood.

We are one block north of Tower Grove Park, and half a block west of the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Are you from St. Louis?

I beg to differ.....run my AC all of the time. Helps me to sleep better at night. Plus there is some farm land around and those farmers start up those tractors at 4am. Helps to keep the noise out.
