I think it has been about a month since the last time I played. As usual, I loved the game for a few weeks, then got tired of playing it. I can't bring myself to cancel my account yet though, as I invested too much time in building up my character to not give the game another chance.

Your characters aren't deleted if you cancel. People often cancel and come back later, and taking away all incentive to come back later wouldn't make much business sense for Blizzard.

Ever since they allowed server transfers to windrunner I've been getting queued for login. Last night I tried and was number 480 in the queue with an estimated time of 10 minutes.
This is Episode 6 of a series of "mockumentary" shorts about gaming. They feature the exploits of one gamer who embodies every horrifying stereotype of the L33tspk nation. They're all really funny, but in this one he discovers WoW, and re-evaluates his postion on MMORPGs (and sleeping and eating) as a result.
Lots of the other episodes are worth checking out, too.

Screw that.. time to go to another server.
I've still been having fun on spinebreaker (PvP) as an Orc Warrior "Vorlok".
