Just levelled to 25 last night. Not poor with 22g, but not rolling in it like some of you guys. My gold intake has slowed somewhat, as I am only getting 50% or less for a stack of copper or bronze than I was 2 weeks ago. Free markets are a b*tch.
I'm finding random groups more rewarding these days, as I've learned what to look for in a group's behavior before I jump in. I'd love to do more with the guild, but the level discrepency and size of the guild mitigate against it.
I did group with some fellas who had 5(!) hunters. It was something to watch as they would all blast away with guns simultaneously!

Level 30 with my hunter. I got to the point where I had to upgrade most of my gear, as I had gotten to the point where there was a big difference in the equipment I had, and the equipment that was available to me, so I Am now basically broke.

Damn Skippy.
I am not playing this game because this thread has scared the hell out of me. I already have an MVP problem and needed to consciously cut down on my playing time with that. I don't need a game that will make my wife wish I was looking at porn because at least I would be done soon
This is the best game i have played on any sytem ever.
Working the AH is such a rush in itself...doubling money on a timely purchase and re-selling is awesome. Bartering in this free trade system is sweet. Add this to a stellar game and i'm addicted, so much to see, do, try and the plater interaction.

I am fascinated by the economic game inside the game as well, but the fun of adventuring competes for my time. I am particularly intrigued by the way the price of bronze and copper bars fluctuates. It's volatile enough to scare a commodities trader I miss the days of several weeks ago, when one night's mining would find me selling 3-4 stacks of copper for 75s each. Now I get anywhere from 35 to 65, with no discrernible rhyme or reason for the cyclical demand.

Yeah Rob, I love the adventuring as well, the situations you can get into are really all over te place. Was with a group about to go into Uldamen when we come accross another group who are with the Alliance, one thing leads to another and a full scale battle erupts between the groups for the next 1/2 hour that was fun as hell and quite lively.
Hearthstone back into Ogrimmar and find myself in the middle of a mob chasing a naked level 60 Alliance through out the town, 25 people dancing in unison by the bank and some bum asking me for money.
Spend some time trying to sell an epic axe I had bought for 50 gold and thought i was going to lose money on, ended up selling for 109 gold, nice profit eh Ended the night by finishing a couple quests, was fricken great.
I'm amazed at the stories of my co worker who plays on avg. 7 hours a night, and probably 30 hours over the weekends. I think he's a 53rd level Horde Dark Elf or something? He was bemoaing the death of the super top Horde guy that apparently took place last night?

Not far from the truth....My GF wants to burn the game...
I keep saying " Ill play less after lvl 40" ...We that know...know that aint true...
Rob you nailed it about the economy...I play AH alot...The greatest mini game of all time...The ups and downs of the copper, tin, bronze, iron and steel bar market are something to behold...not to mention the Jade market...We need some price capping......Im a lvl 225 blacksmith so I stock up for future use.. when I see low prices.

Awesome game...still
I had a guy tell me I was ruining the economy last night. I put about 25 stacks of thick leather on last night for 59 silver a stack. He asked me why I was selling it so cheap. I told him that maybe because I had it running out of my ears. I've been farming these level 50 and 51 birds in Azshara for ironfeathers and leather the last few days and I made a ton of money on the leather and a few ironfeather shoulders.
Now that I bought my mount, I really don't need the money anymore and now I'm making it hand over fist. I made like 28 gold in the last two days just leather working and skinning.
I played a guy to 28 and another guy to 24 and got bored. But I've played MMORPGs to death in the past, so I'm jaded. The feeling of "real" accomplishment that distinguishes these games from single-player games doesn't do it for me anymore. I tend to look back at all those hours I put in and say to myself, "What was I thinking?"
