Hope for FIFA?

Thanks to Jared for posting the link to Games Domain´s fine, detailed preview of FIFA 2003.
 
 Normally, I would have dismissed the FIFA series right away due to its arcade-heavy emphasis in the past.
 
 But it looks like EA might be on to something with FIFA 2003. I´m really encouraged to see the developers concentrate on gameplay, while the visuals also look much better, too. Man, there were 112 people on this development team!
 
 I´m actually getting a bit excited about a FIFA game for the first time since FIFA 98. Scary!

 I didn´t say I was going to buy FIFA 2003! But I will give it a rent.
 
 Sorry, but the lure of having all the worldwide club teams is pretty strong if the game is vastly improved as promised.

You´re welcome Paul. I´m currently on the FIFA bandwagon. Don´t know why....but everything is pointing to a good title.
 
 This plus Pro Evolution Soccer 2......and CM4....mmmmmmm.....this will be a good year for soccer.

 Long story short: Arni, me and two other guys would go to my temporary apartment in Indy during May -- I´m in Indy long enough in May that the Speedway rents me an apartment instead of a hotel room, saves money.
 
 We would stop at Taco Bell or get a pizza and beer and then fire up the PS2 to play World of Outlaws for the next three or four hours. The rest of the boys would stay in their work clothes, whereas I couldn´t wait to get out of those clothes and into my skivvies. I work at home, so I´m not used to getting dressed for work.

I am interested in FIFA as well, I think this game could really be a hit for me since I´m looking for a realistic soccer game that doesn´t have to be flawless. It looks like EA has been making strides. Any news on World Tour 2003 by the way?
