Hi all:

I´ve finally seen the light regarding Moto GP for the Xbox on my third rental after stupidly calling the game mediocre after my first two rentals. I´m freaking addicted to it now. Great game.

Does anyone have any tips for braking? When do you use just the front brake? When do you use just the rear? When do you pull back on the right stick to use both brakes?

I´m not enough of a motorcycle fan to know the proper techniques, and I know they really help drop lap times in this fantastic game.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Take care,
PK

pk : i think maybe you became too impressionable by the SR people with this game. Or you must not have had a racing game to fill the void recently, I don´t know. But I think your original opinion on this game was dead on. I may rent it again but I think it is a good game, but not great.
Absolutely not.

Sure, I was influenced by the great World Superbike final I watched Monday night on Speed. And yes, the bike physics of this game still aren´t perfect, based on what I think a bike racer should be.

But the racing in this game is intense and unforgiving at higher skill levels, something I really missed during the first two rentals. Plus you do need to control speed properly and take good lines through turns, a hallmark of all quality racing sims or relaxed sims.

Still, the racing is what grabbed me this time. I really have to work to get good finishes at the intermediate level.

By comparison, as fun as Sega GT 2002 is, I don´t get the same feeling from that game. It´s getting to the point now where it´s easier and easier to win races as I get deeper into the game and can afford better cars.

Appreciate your devil´s advocacy, though!
