Still playing regular PvE (no PVP) on the windrunner server.
Ringmar, my L20 paladin is my main character. Got a bunch of people I work with playing, and a few of them have way more time than me and have easily surpassed me in leveling.
Still loving it, still playing it. Plan to be playing it for a long time still.
If you logon to windrunner server, Look for pigpen (character is the same name) and also webdanzer (character name is Rolynx). We're all "Alliance" so if you play as Alliance you'll be able to add us to your friends list, but if you play as Horde you won't be able to.

I still play every day, so does my wife. After losing my installation for a week or two, I got back into it pretty big. I wiped out almost all my characters since I had forgotten how to play, but I'm still on Windrunner.
I'm either on as:
Werewolf, 20 Night Elf Druid.
Lancelot, 18 Human Paladin.
Nosferatu, 12 Human Warlock.
Kain, 11 Human Mage.
Kerra, 9 Night Elf Hunter
Predator, 7 Human Rogue.
Almost all day, all night. Mostly Lancelot at night, when my wife plays her Paladin. She also has a druid that I play Werewolf with some.
The game doesn't get old, it's insane how much I've played and I haven't really done crap in the game. I had 5 guys at 20-25 once, but deleted most of them. I can't imagine actually getting to 60. There's so much to do I usually get sidetracked and play another class.

Yikes! Sounds like one of my oldest friends, only it's him on Star Wars Galaxies and her on EverCrack II. Although I doubt you are anywhere near as bad as they are. Another friend and I are about on the verge of an intervention, I s*** you not...TCrouch wrote:I still play every day, so does my wife.

Think that's bad? I unlocked a Jedi on Galaxies over a year ago, then got sick of it and deleted the character. I've played almost all MMO's, and currently have 2 accounts to WoW, 1 to Dark Age of Camelot, 1 to Everquest 2, 1 to Star Wars Galaxies...but I only really play WoW. I gotta trim the fat sooner or later.
It's probably time for an intervention, but what can ya do.

Well, with my friend and his wife they both have multiple accounts running on the games like you (racking up undreamed of expenses I'm sure) but you seem to be far more cognizant of the situation. With them, the fact that there might be even a hint of a problem is not open for discussion.
You can't get either of them to get out of the house anymore... they are both putting on weight like hungry hungry hippos, and they smoke like fiends... my friend said he *literally* had a moment where he was like, "Honey, the stove is burning" and she was like "That's nice honey..." click click click... they have money problems but are spending probably $75 a month on games...
The genesis of some of this was my friend having a serious back injury about a year ago, to the point where he can't exercise or work regularly. He has a lot of idle time and he is a mark for Star Wars so he got pulled into the game. His wife I think, was actually playing EverCrack before they even met (although they didn't meet through the game or anything wacky like that). It all adds up to a great big mess. I think that all he wants to do is play the game, he's not re-habbing hard as he should, seems indifferent to returning to work. Plus MMORPGs are such time-wasters (not in a negative sense, in the sense that you sit down and poof it's 4 hours later) that I think time is getting away from him and it is keeping him from doing anything else.
Like I said a friend and I are this close to a damn intervention... it's going to be real silly going to his family and saying, "Hey they're hooked on friggin' video games, the both of them" but they aren't leaving me with much choice. I'm gonna put on a Darth Vader helmet and storm the place...

WoW is a great game. I put in maybe 10 hours a week with it, which is pretty much all my gaming time outside of a NHL league game.
I'm just wrapping up my first month today, in fact, so I figure I already got 40 hrs of gaming goodness for my initial $50...which is more than I get out of most similarly priced titles.
The next $15 will be just about the easiest gaming cash I'll ever spend.
Great game, and right now the one game in my collection I would keep if I had to make that choice.
Oh, and I like it because it *Doesn't* suck up all of my time. I see how it can, I suppose, but with their quest structure and rest system, logging on for like 1/2hr to 45 min at a time is fine: you still feel like you're making progress.
There are usually 2-3 days a week where i don't *gasp* play at all, but I still don't feel like I've fallen way behind for doing so.
Guys not even into MMORPGS should really give this a try.

I'm still playing on Zul 'Jin. I have my night elf druid up to level 39 now and I am almost to 40. Sadly, I'm not even close to having enough cash to buy my horse, so I guess I'll just have to wait.
The game is still great and I really love the almost natural transition into new areas as my level increases. Everytime I think I've seen the coolest area in the game, I am introduced to someplace cooler.
I have also been playing my level 10 human warlock some as warlocks are a blast to play.
I don't know if I will ever see level 60, but I am two thirds of the way there.
Great game and I haven't seen a fraction of the world.

I have a level 33 Undead Warrior and last night I went on a farming spree to gather an extra 5 gold so I could buy this kick @ss 2-handed sword at the auctin house. Sold my other 1-H sword+Shield, my bow and helmet for this elite sword ( Archaic Sword of damage)
I paid 11 gold for it and was probably ripped a bit on it but man does it kick arse. The whole process of trying to gather the cash and get it before it was taken by another was awesomely frantic. These swords don't come along that often.
Also made some great deals last night, free enterprise is awesome in this game.

Was a span of about 3 hours playtime, made about 4 gold, here is how I did it. Found an area where the enemy ( find humanoid enemy) are 5 levels below me so I can kill and farm them at a very fast rate and they also will drop some not bad items plus decent coin (avg of 50 copper to 1 silver)...plus get quick exp. At this one point where I was, I also got a lot of silk, went into trade channel and asked if anyone needed silks ( people always do for some reason) and sold 36 silk for 1 gold. If you put your mind to it it adds up fast

I made 4 gold on a single hour-long dungeon dive into the Deadmines today with Lancelot. I also have pretty good luck selling stacks of Light Leather on the auction house; I was selling stacks of 10 for 15S for a long time (made 11G one day doing that...kinda nice to have 10 or 11G on a level 7 character). Some days you'll sell a ton, others you won't. Selling raw resources on the Auction House is the absolute fastest way to get a lot of money as a low toon, but the market varies; it's supply and demand. If you see 80 sales of Leather that day, better post something else...that's missing.
