Great game to you, as well. I couldn't imagine trying to generate any offense with Jeff Blake. Your defense was solid. I thought I was destined to lose after throwing two INT's in the endzone, then missing that chip shot FG at the end.Brando70 wrote:Good game, Sully, you pulled out a tough win.
What happened in the Cowboys/Jets game? I saw that 65 yard PI penalty.
Good luck to you.
I was in the lobby last night waiting for my other league game to start when I checked out your score. You guys must've had a great game. I was just watching the updates wishing there was some way I could actually watch your game.Brando70 wrote:Good game, Sully, you pulled out a tough win.

Funny about that 65 yard penalty. That's not the way I remember it going down. The way I remember it, I completed a long pass to McCareins and there was some kind of penalty tacked on. I don't even think Pennington can throw the ball 65 yards in the air. I wouldn't have accepted a PI penalty, especially since I'm trying to win the QB rating title.

That was a great game with Badgun. My first win of the season against a team with a winning record.

Spooky, now I understand. In the play-by-play it said 65 yard penalty, I assumed PI.
Sully and I played the craziest game I have played yet. It featured:
--Me picking off two passes in the endzone, including one by Sheldon Brown, who Sully traded to me.
--An 89-yard TD reception where the pass bounced off Todd Pinkston's hands, up in the air, and he caught it again and took off. My DBs sort of went for the ball in the air and let Pinkston get behind them.
--A botched game-winning FG by the Eagles from my 6-yard line. I thought maybe Bill's wife was visiting
--A conga line of injuries. At various points, Urlacher, Thomas Jones, Charles Tillman, Pinkston, and Anthony Thomas (now an Eagle) were all hurt.
My strategy of making people play down to my level almost worked. And now that Jeff Blake had another crappy game, the fans are clamoring for Krenzel. After all he leads the league in QB rating!

Scasmflop that was a truly epic game last night. 2 full overtime periods, missed field goals in overtime, long runs, long passes, 4th down conversions, key injuries, and a 14 point 4th quarter comeback to tie it.
Between the game against Brando and this one..I'll be living on ESPN Classic.

Yep, and now I'm in a big hole. I'm on the bubble for playoffs right now, and I've got to scratch out wins in some of the remaining 4 games with Terry Jackson and Dorsey. I do get Rattay and Barlow back for the playoffs if I do happen to make it though.Bill_Abner wrote:Scasmflop that was a truly epic game last night...
