I gotta try that. I still have sound coming thru my TV speakers also!pk500 wrote: Being a complete TV audio idiot, I also thought the sound was kind of muddled when I first got these. Then I realized I still had audio flowing from my TV speakers while using these speakers simultaneously! Dipsh*t!
I canceled all sound from my TV speakers, letting these speakers handle all audio, and my basement started sounding more like Carnegie Hall ...
Take care,
PK
Update...just did it PK and there is definately a difference. I also have my default setting on "Gaming". Definately have some "home theater-ness" going on right now

Oh, yeah, no doubt. The "Fat Man" subwoofer looks like something out of the atomic bomb exhibit from the Atomic Energy Museum. The satellite speakers don't bother me as much, as they remind me of old-time radio and stage microphones.skinsfan wrote:Nice pick-up for 20 bucks. They have tricked out a bedroom TV for me nicely.Man, they are ghey looking though.
But at least the speaker system sounds good, especially for the buck!
Take care,
PK

Got the piggyback cable and everything up and working now. It really adds to the stereo. Thanks for the link pk it was well worth it, of course my wife might have some choice words for you. Somewhere along the lines of "Just what we need, more f#@$in electronic sh#t!"
