I have been waiting a long time for a great boxing game. If the gameplay is as good as the licence, we may have something here. The models on the website look real good.

Any thoughts?
I think there´s little question this game will feature arcadish, over-the-top gameplay just like the fights depicted in the "Rocky" movies.

So if you´re looking for the definitive boxing sim on a console, I doubt "Rocky" will be it. But the game still could be fun if it at least adheres to some basic boxing principles, has a clean button interface and uses the license to the max.

Could be a good pick-up-and-play game, for sure.

I don´t mind it being a little over the top, as long as the fighters from the movie fight the way they are supposed to. If everyone fights the same, then what is the point of using the licensed characters? For instance, I read somewhere that everyone fights right-handed. Everyone knows Rocky is a southpaw (as is Clubba Lang). Those little details should not be missed.

I think the game would be cool if Apollo is lightning quick, like Ali, Lang throws bombs like a young Tyson, Rocky has a granite jaw and loads of heart, etc. That is what I want coming from this game.

BTW, I read on IGN that it really isn´t too arcadish. Of course, consider the source, but it is hopeful.
