From the article: Sports titles FIFA 2006, FIFA Street 2, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006 and SSX 4 will also be released on the platform, as will the next Harry Potter game (which ties in with the Goblet of Fire movie due next Christmas) and the next James Bond game, the previously unannounced From Russia With Love.
Since there will be no exclusives, I don't see myself waiting in line to get an Xbox2 on launch day. Especially with no Madden.
Hmm, EA holding out for more money to release Madden as a launch title?
Or maybe Sony paid EA to reserve it for them?
Or maybe this list is real preliminary and will change. EA has put all their games on every system out there so it's hard to imagine they'd hold it back for Xenon.
Plus there's no doubt they've been working on a Madden engine for next generation systems.
My guess is that if the console is coming out in the late 2005 timeframe that EA feels like the window for Madden will have passed and that gamers who play football will already have played it on their old console. While some of us might spring for a second copy of Madden just to see how it is on the new console, a lot of gamers might not.
Hey, it works for me. I am in no mood to rush out and get a new console yet.
EA Spills Xbox Next Titles
Burnout 4 and a "secret Marvel project"? Say it's so!
By David Adams
January 21, 2005 - Netherlands-based fan site Xboxworld reports on an Electronic Arts press event held in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands recently, in which the publishing giant revealed tantalizing next-generation console plans.
While EA confirmed Batman Begins and Medal of Honor: Dogs of War for fiscal 2005, the bigger news is a line-up of titles reportedly scheduled for Xbox and Xbox Next:
- Battlefield: Modern Combat
- The Godfather
- "Secret Marvel Project"
- Black
- FIFA Soccer 2006
- Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2006
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted
- SSX 4
- Urbz 2
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- Burnout 4
- James Bond: From Russia with Love
- FIFA Street 2
While we cannot consider this an official announcement from EA, given that it comes to us from secondary sources, we can say that the list above is in line with our own understanding of EA's next-generation plans. In fact, we're even willing to predict that the "Secret Marvel project" is in fact the long-anticipated Marvel vs. EA fighter. As for another SSX or Need for Speed, well, we're not quite spasming with surprise.
Still, any next-gen tidbits are tasty to our palates. We'll be back with even more as soon as we can get new info for you. Watch this space.

Yeah supposedly this was a presentation to stock analysts in the Netherlands.
It doesn't seem likely that EA would talk about next gen plans for this year when MS hasn't even publicly confirmed that they will release Xenon this year.
FIFA Street isn't even out and they will have FIFA Street 2 later this year?
Plus you wouldn't expect a foreign subsidiary of EA to break this news.
It's interesting that the domestic media are running with this.
