OT: Morientes to Liverpool

Post by dougb »

The reports are that Real Madrid have agreed to transfer Morientes to Liverpool for 6 million pounds. Liverpool are in desperate need of another top class striker having lost Cisse to a broken leg and with Barros a constant injury concern.

I wonder how Morientes will adjust to the pace of the premiership game. It seems like it often takes at least a season for foreign players, even of the highest calibre, to adjust from the slower pace prevalent in Seria A and La liga.

Best wishes,

Doug

Yeah it's not that much considering how he played last year. Hopefully he'll be able to really up the scoring puch of Liverpool's front line, which had really struggled this year. At least that would take off some of the pressure from Gerrard.

Best wishes,

Doug

He'll be hurt in three weeks. That's just the kind of year it's been :(

Bite your tongue, Rob. It will be at least four weeks before he's out of favor with the Kop.
