The OU secondary is just being picked apart. If it's 35-7 by halftime, it might only be worthwhile to catch the final 5-10 minutes. Not the epic game everyone thought it would be.

It's epic for Matt Leinart.

It would have been a better game if OU showed up to play.

"Auburn vs. USC...would have been a better game."

You bet-wow. I'll say this...Auburn right now is at LEAST the second best team in college football, that much is apparent. Boy, this is making the BCS look even more foolish. Leinert is killing OU singlehandedly, almost...I mean-4TD's, possibly 5 before halftime?? Never woulda happened with Auburn's defense. Nope.

I have to eat some crow here...I sincerely thought OU would kill 'em. Guess right now at least that was way off...

...dammit...what a waste...

Tealboy, I respect your opinion, but Aubern barely beat a semi mediocre Virginia Tech team.

USC would roll them also, now Utah, they could give them a game for sure.

USC is obviously the better football team, regardless of whether OU came to play or not. OU has no answer for Leinart and Co.

I'm still not sure why most everyone thought OU would win tonight. USC clearly has more weapons. I'm extremely happy right now because I can't stand OU and Bob Stoops.
Teal as much as I know you love Auburn I don't think they would have faired much better tonight against USC. USC is just on another planet right now.

"There's no gurantee Auburn would be playing any better or USC isn't playing as well as they are. "

Hell, JRod- OU sure is making it easy to speculate. OU is absent ANY defense whatsoever. This USC team against the #1 scoring defense in the land;against the #1 stingiest defense in college football? What's to speculate?

PK said it best before, and I'll use it in response to your above quote...

"and if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle..."

Because of the braindead pencil pushers at the BS ( I'm removing the C for reasons that are now even MORE obvious, as if), we'll never know. What I know is this: That team that's on the field with USC wouldn't have half the wins they have playing in the SEC with this type of play...

I know that's going to ruffle BD's feathers, but I can't help it. HOW the hell did they get this team to #2?

Makes a good argument for the elimination of preseason polls...

Pigpen, I understand what you're trying to say, but how can you say that with any authority? Who's to say? USC would most certainly NOT pick apart Auburn's defense this way...their entire season is proof of that. Nobody got close to doing that to Auburn.

The voters happened to get USC right. But they missed the hell out of the #2 spot. Hell, I'd put Utah ahead of OU right now...

What an incredible combination of talent and coaching. Sure, OU could come back, but they need some help. Unless Mack Brown suddenly appears on the SC sidelines, I wouldn't count on a comeback.

USC is a fun team to watch, that is for sure. I remember back when FSU had great offensive talent, but they never had an offensive coordinator like Norm Chow. And a great defense as well.

I don't think it's fair to call Virginia Tech "semi-mediocre". They lost three games this year, two of those losses were to USC and Auburn.

sadly, damnably, inexplicably...that's as far as it can go. I don't think...

I think they would've. I've watched this Auburn team all season long. They never got a fair shake from the BCS. Need proof? All one needs to do is look at the "Championship" halftime score...

Could somebody explain to me what the hell was going on with the sound. Is this the BCS answer to lip-singing. Pipe in two vocal tracks??

Lets rate the SEC this year:

Florida - Down year

Tennessee - starts 2 fresh QB's, and down

LSU - Down year

Georgia - Down year

Mississippi - Heck, they lost to Wyoming.

Lets rate the ACC:

Miami - Shell of their former self

Florida State - Shell of their former self.

North Carolina - Was pummeled by Utah.

Va tech - Decent defense but offense has serious holes and they still lost to NC State.

Face it, if there was any year for this Auburn team to go undefeated it was this one. They are a fine team and they went undefeated, congrats to them but they wouldn't match up with USC IMO which isn't worth much.

The mics weren't working. Kelly Clarkson can sing like a motha live. She's got no reason to lip sync it. You could see she was flustered since she couldn't get any feedback from her vocals. It was freakin' terrible. The whole crowd booed when it was over. The crew that set that stage and electronics up will get destroyed because that was one of the worst "Big" performances I've ever seen at a major event.

Yea 12-0 and overated. Thus is the price for choking at the worng time. USC is killing us but as I said in the picks it could have been a blowout by either team, does not make OU overated. Just a bunch of ass ignorant mistakes and turnovers.

I just want to thank that last singer (Ashless Simpson?) for her halftime performance. I though OU was the biggest choke job of the game until she hit the stage.

What I'm seeing is a football game inspired by the real life events of ancient Troy... the advertisers for today's release of the Brad Pitt movie must be thrilled with the free press they're getting in the Orange Bowl right now...

Yeah, kinda felt sorry for Kelly Clarkson. Hard to sing when you can't hear your own voice, but she still did well.

That last chic, Ashlee Simpson... was freaking terrible. Why on earth is she selling records?

Because she's Jessica Simpsons sister.

BTW, did you guys hear about their Dad. He was talking about how popular Jessica was and somehow he ended up talking about how nice her boobs are. What a jerkoff. Speaking of which...it's time after thinking about said boobs.
