MNF to be cancelled tomorrow night!

Mayor Dick Murphy just announced that because of fires in San Diego....MNF will not be played at Qualcomm tomorrow evening...it is being used as an evacuation zone right now...
 
 maybe they can play in Miami....but doubt it.
 
 has this ever happened before?

Looks like they are going to move it to Phoenix, SF or Oakland.

Mike Patrick just announced on Sunday Night Football that the game will be played in Phoenix.

Guys...it has been a trippy day to say the least.
 
 My wife and I woke up this morning with an orange glow coming through the window.....it looked like we were on Mars.
 
 San Diego has been covered by smoke all day...with ash raining down everywhere.
 
 The smoke has permeated into our humble condo....it irritates the eyes and throat big time.
 
 My Dad is a fireman with LA City and he tells me brush fires are the most craziest fires he has ever been in.
 
 One huge one 15 years ago had his engine completely surrounded and he had to drive through fire to get out...they came by the house for coffee after fighting the fire all night....and every fireman on the engine looked like coal miners.....and were sprawled out all over the engine due to fatigue.
 
 when the wind is whipping the fire is as random as PK´s shooting on GR.
 
 I´ll feel horrible for the folks who have lost their homes today.....it all happened so quick.

Oh...and Tags should announce that any proceeds from the SD/Miami game will be donated to the San Diego fire fund
 
 but that won´t happen because the NFL and TV contracts are bigger than our problems...

They´re moving it to Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe AZ, the game is free and they´ve warned about parking. Should be the best attended NFL game of the year.

I thought Mike Patrick´s line last night during Sunday Night Football was funny after he announced that the game was being shifted to Phoenix:
 
 "Well, NFL football finally will come to Phoenix."

It´s so sad... I´d actually rather have the Chargers in Phoenix than the Cardinals, despite the fact that the Chargers were truly awful. Just the Chargers are probably going to go somewhere in the next 20 years... they´ve surely come from somewhere.
 
 I went to the game, it was a random ticket lotto and I sort of lost but it was very entertaining. All San Diego-area sponsors, QualComm stadium animations, lots of fights, three (not naked but made all the more better because of that) streakers and a guy who didn´t streak but mooned the security guards and then got arrested. The crowning moment of the evening was the safety, though. They could have done a better job getting people to donate money, though, a lot of people just walked right past the AZ Cardinals cheerleaders with the money buckets.
 
 Aah, NFL football, when will you return to Arizona?
