I just read this on Gamespot:

Xbox Grand Prix 4 canceled

Infogrames announces that the console version of its recently released PC racing game is no longer in development.

Following the recent announcement that Infogrames is closing its MicroProse UK studio, the French publisher has today announced that the Xbox version of Geoff Crammond´s Grand Prix 4 has been canceled.
The game was nearing completion and scheduled for release before the end of the year, and an Infogrames representative we spoke to was keen to point out that the decision to cancel the game was made for corporate reasons and was in no way influenced by its quality.

The Xbox version of Grand Prix 4 was to be the series´ first ever appearance on a games console. Anyone still keen to play the game should check out our previous coverage of the recently released PC version.

Well, with all of the delays from Codies, this news from Infogrames, and one hell of a good time this weekend playing Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo and Battlefield 1942 at a LAN party I have decided to upgrade my PC and spend my gaming dollars there. My main interest is racing and the most realistic sims are on the PC.

My poor 800Mhz Athlon was getting too slow and I was hoping the Xbox could be my alternative. Oh well, I´m still keeping the Xbox (for Colin when it gets here and Halo 2) but I just ordered a XP 2000+, half a gig of DDR333 memory and an Asus A7V333 to get me back up to speed. Birthdays are great.
