Rookie Sliders for NBA 2K5

Post by realismoverfluff »

dont laugh or be fooled...

as you increase difficulty levels, the overall awareness levels are increased. meaning more steals and turnovers and an unrealistic game speed

if you work your way up from the lowest common factor, you are able to find great balance in gameplay

so,

rookie difficulty...5 minute quarters

cpu: max out double team awareness, offensive court vision, and defensive court vision

human:

10/40 inside range
10/40 medium range
20/40 long range
10/40 dunk success
10/40 lay up success

since the cpu isnt generally "harder" on any difficulty, in comparison to a game like Inside Drive. you have to miss more shots than the CPU more often than not to provide a challenge for yourself

the missed shots are not all negative though, cause it allows for better rebounding stats for power forwards and centers, and on some occasions for two guards.

playing 12 minute quarters recently, the cpu has had KG go for 23,14,6 and in another game Paul Pierce went for 40,10, 6

they work well

enjoy

Ehh...I found damn good sliders for superstar so I'm cool. I can't imagine that "rookie" can do anything for ya.

Interesting theory. Thanks for posting them, I'll give them a whirl.

Er, after my tenth wide open blown dunk in a row, I filed these sliders under "settings for people who hate themselves". Nothing personal, fluff. I just don't see how these make for an enjoyable game.

That's precisely why you don't stick it on the easiest level and then tweak the hell out of it so that the AI plays better. There is a reason they have different difficulty levels.

i never use turbo, so im not having that issue

my games are coming out nice, maybe its the way i play or something

only "issue" is the end game human shot attempts, they're like 20-30 more than the cpu ***12 minute quarters***
