you committed to the league....suck it up and play it. i'm 0-7 and still in! having fun....(even though MIA is a QB running cheeser)
Fiedler's Line:
3 rushes, 12 yards, 15 was the long (whoa, dominant)
McGahee's line:
17 rushes, 146 yards, 2 Tds, 58 was the long
I didn't need Fiedler to beat you...Willis did it himself.

What a wild game Brando.
My wife is getting a spanking tonight. When I scored that 4th quarter TD to go up 20-14, she's sitting next to me and says "don't miss!" As she says that she grabs the controller...forcing me to shank the extra point. Man...if you would got that 4th and 1 and scored and won 21-20 I may have filed right then and there LOL.
Helluva game man.

Yeah, good game, Bill. I was wondering what happened with that extra point. I thought maybe Dawson was feeling shaky after missing that FG after Jerry Azumah fumbled the kickoff
Your D-line just brutalized my O-line. Not getting the 4th and 1 symbolized that. John Tait looked like a turnstile against Courtney Brown. But the play of the game IMHO was Garcia completing that 3rd down pass to Winslow on your last scoring drive. I was just about to drill Garcia with Alfonso Boone but you got the pass off.
Funny that your wife was watching. I was swearing my butt off as I usually do when I am playing with the Bears. My wife was upstairs and could hear me. When we finished, I went upstairs.
"I take it you lost," she said.
"Yeah, 20-14," I replied. "I blew it on fourth and 1. Good game, though, I had fun."
"It sounded like it," she said with a thick slab of sarcasm.

I think that was hands down the most intense game I have played thus far in the league. SO many critical plays. I couldn't believe I completed that pass to Bryant on that final drive, Garcia throwing on the run across his body. And yeah, the 4th and 1 stand was awesome.
Anyway, BG I assume you have not heard from the Cincy owner?

Ha! I had to pickup my crying newborn last night and I left the game on the friends list in NCAA College Hoops. I was laying on the couch with the newborn sleeping on my chest and I noticed the score of your game on my ticker and I followed it for a few minutes. I was thinking "man, that must be a great game!"

It was. Here's the play by play of when things get hairy in the 4th 14-14. Palm sweat was indeed an issue.Leebo33 wrote:Ha! It really was a great game. That opening drive completion to Bryant was a big blow. Plus, Green broke two tackles on that 3rd down TD score. I thought I was going to nail him for a loss and force the FG. Would have been especially huge if Mrs. Abner interfered with that chip shot
I had the hole on the 4th and 1, but Lang broke Rex Tucker's block at the last second for the loss. That's one of the few times I've lost yardage with Thomas Jones this year.
On the plus side, I did get the flea-flicker to work!
This really has been a great league. All of my games have been fun and so far, every player has shown great sportsmanship.

"Unfortunately, I'm dropping out of the league due to lack of time. I picked up the Rams when they were 0-4 and it's not going to be fun to get slaughtered. Sorry."
There's guys in this league that have played every single game and have yet to win (Sudz!).
I'm sorry but this pisses me off. You join a league, lose a couple of games, then quit because losing is a waste of your time.
What about the time Bill has to spend finding a replacement for these quitters?
What about the time we spend trying to arrange a game before finding out you're quitting?

Hmm I was told he was quitting because he traded in NFL 2K5 to get new games...Sully wrote:"Unfortunately, I'm dropping out of the league due to lack of time. I picked up the Rams when they were 0-4 and it's not going to be fun to get slaughtered. Sorry."

Well, he missed last week's game too. Maybe he decided then that he no longer wanted to participate, then went and traded his game in.Bill_Abner wrote:Sully wrote:"Unfortunately, I'm dropping out of the league due to lack of time. Re: Az v. Det
The idiots at Verizon 'accidentally deactivated' my account. For some ridiculous reason, my service won't be on for at least another 3 business days. We were supposed to play this game last night. But, due to the aforementioned calamity, we couldn't. So, if we're up against the deadline, the win should go to the Lions. Dammit!!!!
