Poll: Should Buckeyes linbacker be suspended for dirty play?

I say yes. He could have killed the guy. I know when I played I slipped my hand under a few facemasks and rubbed a nose or two. But I never tried to crush a windpipe.
 
 Ohio State should take the action itself instead of waiting to see what the Big Ten says.
 
 WTF is Tressell waiting on? Ohio State continues to loose credibility.
 
 I thought Tressell was a man of integrity and tradition. When his players get involved in any controversy he turns into a country bumpkin and acts as if he knows nothing.
 
 Tressell needs to sit Reynolds down for a game to send the right message.

I just heard he got suspended for the Iowa game.

He should be kicked off the team. That is no way to play the game of football...an already brutal game. No need to be taking cheap shots...and choking someone is their livelyhood...not just a cheap shot.

Yes, he should be suspended.
 
 I´m a Badger fan, so I may be a little based, but that play made me sick. The guy is lying flat on his back with two other guys on him, and this thug decides it would be a good idea to blatently grab the guy by the throat and choke the hell out of him.
 
 I don´t care if football is a rough sport, and the adrenaline is flowing, that was just plain evil.

I think the punishment should be at least 3 games. I know a lot goes on in the pile...jabs to the gut, an "accidental" poke in the groin, arm twisting, etc, but going for the throat is unacceptable in my opinion and crosses the line.
