webdanzer, I sent you a message via XBL telling you that my pc was shot and I couldn't get to DSP.

WTF, guys?

I don't get it, so I give you guys time to play YOUR games which YOU aren't playing, and for not advancing the deadline, YOU jump ship?

Whatever...

That's not it Mo. We need you to be strict with the deadlines and around when others have questions. Terry asked almost a week ago if it were possible to have his game reset so he could play it, you never responded.

I think most of us would be willing to stay with the league we have since it's already set up.

You, as the commish, need to advance the week when the deadline is up, and be available when others have questions or problems.

Dude...you haven't answered a single question on this forum for over a week. No nothing...it's kinda tough to have confidence in someone that never shows up.

All you gotta do is look at Bill over in the NFL league. Dude has his sh*t together and he constantly responds to questions or whatever, usually within a day. It's hard to run a league when the commish disappears for a week.

I don't want to be in the new league.

I'll continue in the current league if it keeps going.

Good luck gettting two games in 10 days. The current league has a 6 day deadline, and there are still plenty of games that need to be played. I'm not sure why the need to start a new league is so pressing, especially when nobody's said anything about it. s***, my computer dies on me on Friday and today I finally get to check DSP and come to this.

Thanks.

Anybody ever think of sending me an XBL message?
I'm not even sure what the complaints are about. Like I said, last week I let the deadline go because there were still unplayed games.
What did I say? That this week, I would move the week along at the deadline. That's midnight, tonight.
Gimme a break.

Anyway, my computer was, is, and will be shot for at least another week at most.

I cant get to DSP from work.

Try XBL messaging if you wanna contact me.

I put Terry in with the Ducks, that was the last thing I did before my computer went kaput. I didn't know he wanted me to reset the game.

Anyway, if you are staying with the league, thanks for your loyalty and vote of confidence. If everyone wants to jump ship, then fine. I've never run an XBL league, so bear with me.

I ran a poll to see if a game night was doable, and before my PC died, only 9 people had answered. It's a give and take kinda thing. I can be a stickler for the deadline, but people also have to play their games.

Mo,

I don't think people want to jump ship. People were concerned that you had disappeared. Don't take it personally....no harm was meant by what DB and Jack tried to do. I'll stick with the current league.

That's exactly it. We're just becoming more frustrated each day with this league. It's been over a month and we're still on week 3. I'd stay in the current one for sure, as long as you can make the same committment to us, that you expect us to make to you.

Mo,

We want the league to go on...we just had to do something because the other one was just a sinking ship. We were simply trying to get something, anything going. We're stuck in limbo right now in the other league.

When you're not around, we can't do a damn thing.

There really was no harm meant...we just didn't want to sit around and wait three weeks.

And YES, be a stickler for the deadline. That's what needs to happen. No questions asked. If you can't get your game in by the deadline, so what...take the loss and move to the next week. We just gotta do it that way.

Okay.
Dang, I didn't know that accidentally tipping that tea mug onto my laptop keyboard on Thursday afternoon would have such far-reaching repercussions.
Deadline will be advanced tonight, 12am eastern, so please play your games.
I cant reset Terry and Db's game because only games that suffer disconnects can be reset, not games that were decided by the moderator, as this one was.
I hope my computer gets fixed soon, so I can stay on top of things. It shouldnt be long, but please bear with me for a few days longer if you have any requests...or send me an XBL message.

Thanks for sticking with this league.

Mo...it's not just the last few days....this thing has been crawling along since we started over a month ago. I haven't been the only one. There have been MANY statements that have said things like "we need to get this thing moving", etc. I would love to stay in this league, but we need to
set up strict deadlines to keep things moving. So what if you get a loss?
It's just one game. It's all for fun anyway. Lets do 1 game per 5 days.
That would be great.

Anyway, I meant no offense by trying to help out. We havent heard from you in almost a week and we had no clue as to what was going on. I appreciate your work in putting this together and hope we can continue on. If people know that you will enforce the deadlines, they will try harder to get their games in.

BTW Mo...I have been trying to get ahold of Blub, but no response.
We were slated for game 3. What to do?

I don't think Blub was around for last week's game either. Jack should get the win.

I'd prefer to stay with the old league (i'm 3-0 :) ), but if for some reason we can't continue i'm in with the new one. The deadline for this week is actually tonight so technically we can't complain that people have waited that long. But how about from now on each and every member makes a solid effort to play their games before the last minute. It would be nice if we could occasionaly advance to the next game before the deadline is reached. Mo, why don't you send out a league memo on Live letting people know that they should try to get games played as soon as they can, just so we can get things moving. I'm actually enjoying this league and i'm having fun with all the cool things the league web site offers, but i do agree we need it to move faster.

Suggestions for a new league (if it comes to that), new fatigue settings and no fights. I have some fatigue settings that are more realistic and allow the 4th line to play. Fights are pointless, especially if they involve star players who never fight in real life.

Yeah, Mo said we would see if he showed up this week, and if not he would be dropped from the league and someone could replace him if they were up to it.

How about getting rid of referee collision. I know, it happens in real life, but not like this game. Every breakout around the boards ends up bouncing off a ref. They never get out of the way like in real life.

Cant keep up with you guys. Didnt even see this thread :) Id be in for sure, was having fun in the leauge. Id still be in with the Lightning. I just want to play, regardless of the leauge. Would like the leauge to run a bit smoother, but understand there can be hiccups. Anyways, hope one of the leauges continues :)
