News: Madden 2003 to be used on Monday Night Football

This is a direct quote from gamespy:
 
 "Fans of ABC´s Monday Night Football and EA Sports´ Madden NFL series of football games will be happy to hear that Madden NFL 2003 will be used for playback analysis by John Madden during all 17 shows of the NFL football season. John will use his unique insight to analyze plays by playing them back using EA´s game technology. No word on if a specific version of the game will be used, but if we hear more, we´ll let you know."
 
 
 Since I have not had a chance to look at the different versions, I pose this question to the board. Is there a noticable graphics boost in the XBOX version, or is it a straight port of the PS2?

I´m not sure about the X-Box version, but I can´t imagine anything looking better than the PC version.

It´s bad enough that we still have to hear Madden in his video game, but now he´s going to blabber on during ABC telecasts with the game?
 
 Oh, sh*t, pass me the Valium now.
 
 Michael Dukakis hadn´t even run for President yet the last time John Madden was original, fresh and funny.

While I agree with that take pk, I do have to add that I hope that Sega does not make the same mistake and put Boomer in the game next year. After watching the ESPN NFL game last night, that is my biggest fear.

 Agreed.
 
 I still like Boomer, but his considerable ego has become too super-sized for my tastes. Berman tries to make himself the central focus of any show he´s on too much these days.
 
 Still, "NFL PrimeTime" is the best NFL show on network TV -- no contest. "Inside the NFL" on HBO is good, too. I don´t get HBO, but I´ve seen the show a few times and liked it.
