What a good weekend for Collage Football!! Alot of good close games,NFL has alot to live up to this weekend.

 American Football? Syracuse lost to BYU on Thursday, which took the air out of the football weekend for me, bro. I´ll be inflated again this week when the NFL starts.

 Oh, I´ve seen Marv sing it before. NFL Films showed him singing it in the locker room after wins in the "glory days" of the early 90s, and Marv occasionally would sing it on his coach´s show.
 
 Funny stuff!
 
 P.S.: Marv Levy is terribly underrated as one of the better NFL coaches of all time, solely because the Bills lost four straight Super Bowls. He would have been considered a genius if the Bills won one of those games.

Michigan v. Washington was a great game. Though I can´t wait for this weekend. Florida v. Miami. That should be a classic. I can´t wait.

Fellas,
 Don´t usually post much, but JackDog´s topic inspired me. Michigan v Washington was a great game. I know, I´m a softie, but I was so happy for the kicker. He must have been feeling so damn low - he missed easy FG´s and got replaced by a guy who also missed gimmes. And then the coach calls his number to make the game winner. Then the other coach puts him on ice with a TO. What was going through this guys head??? He´s 18 years old, on national TV, he knows he f´ed up earlier, and his team´s whole season rides on this one kick!!! Personally, I would have bailed out and changed majors! So anyway, this kid makes it! The crowd goes f´ing crazy!!!! He´s mobbed by his teammates. They´ve won the big game. Man, I know somebody was getting laid Saturday night and it wasn´t me!

PK,you are on point about coach Marv,he is a great coach, by that I mean a players coach,most who played for him loved him,he deserves much more credit than he gets!

I can´t believe you guys getting after my Bengals...here´s what I like
 
 - Frerotte is a better option than Kitna
 - Corey Dillon is still guaranteed 1,400yds p/season
 - Defense is solid..pity Steve Foley is out for the season, but the corners are better.
 - offense was clicking in pre-season
 
 We´ll see, anyway. I´ve taken £25 e/w of 66-1 action, so if they win the SB, I´ll drop by your house with a song in my heart.

Dave,
 I don´t know if I can agree that the Bengals are going to suck so bad. Frerotte is not a terrible QB. He´s a veteran who has seen alot of action. Dillon is a powerful back and can take alot of pressure off the passing game. Warrick and Westbrook can do some damage at receiver. What is their D like? Young? Veteran? Too old? If they get some good D, they might make a nice run. One less Wild Card per conference doesn´t help. But don´t forget how bad the Rams were until Warner came to town. There´s always one Cinderella. The team I´m looking at is the Chargers. I like Brees and Tomlinson, and they are still anchored by Seau. AFC could be alot of fun!

Newcastle - Liverpool? They called that match after 80 minutes right?
 
 Actually it was a good match. As Zeck told me last night, LFC just lacked the killer instinct to put the game away. Heskey missed twice from point blank. Owen missed shots that he usually strikes true. Xavier was brutal.
 
 Bellamy definitely was a difference maker. He ate up Xavier and showed why the Magpies need him healthy. Robert easily could have scored as well. And like Owen, Shearer missed shots he usually pounces upon.
 
 Too bad it wasn´t a Cup tie, I´d like to see the extra time.

 I think the Bengies are gonna do good this season - the offence is a bit better, and the defence is good. Until Foley went down, you could argue that they had one of the best starting trios at LB in the NFL.
 
 Let´s put it this way - I think that they are better than last year´s Pats, at most positions.
 
 My ´sensible´ bet is on Green Bay.
