 Lot´s of layoffs today. Myself included. I had survived many until now...
 
 So, no job. Financially we´re ok for a while.
 
 Maybe more time for games? Who knows. I guess I´ll get more time with the kids for a while, and maybe get some work done around the house.
 
 I´m a Software Developer in the Telecom industry. Not a great place to be hunting for a job right now. Might have to switch careers.

Sorry to hear that James. The executioner is lingering around my job as well. They are planning on laying off 40% of the workforce between now and the end of October. Keep your head up!!

 There is nothing I can do except enjoy a bit of time off, and look for a new job. No point in getting all pessimistic or anything... what good will that do?
 
 The plan now is to take a few days to let it sink in, then decide what to do. We have lots of family support.
 
 It´ll all work out eventually. Just might be some tough times and lifestyle changes ahead.

Good luck man. I woke up in the middle of the night last night in this horrible state of fear about job yada yada. I´ve never done that even when I was working a job a few years ago where I knew I was going down. Something is in the air. I don´t like it.  Tough break man, I´m sure things will work out in the end and the next job you´ll land will bring you enjoyment and plenty of cash.
 
 I´m a firm believer that things do happen for a reason. Maybe that´s why I´ve hung around this place (my job not DSP) as long as I have.
