Some good deals, if you have a TRU drop by. I was able to get a few games I wanted and that would have a good trade in value at gamestop.

What is the "Big Box Controller S" as compared to anything else? I'm looking to add a few more controllers.

I went there this afternoon and tried to buy Prince of Persia and Sphynx and they both rang up the regular price. Is this only at TRUs that may be closing?

Not that I know of.

I pulled my receipt and payed the following

Secret Weapons of Normandy $14.99 ($29.99)
Prince of Persia $9.97 ($19.95)
Beyond Good and Evil $9.99 ($19.95)
XIII $9.99 ($19.99)
Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance $7.49 ($14.99)
Deus Ex Invisible War $9.97 ($19.95)

Saved $62.46 :)

They all say 50% off green tag on the receipt. You might ask the clerk about the Green Tag. Also remember to have them enter it like you are going to purchase the game. Rumor has it that a price scan does not show the discounts.

Happy Hunting

I am guessing the ones that first came out were packaged in big boxes. Since they come in colors now Microsoft packages them in a clear packaging. Unfortuantely the TRU did not have any.

Don't know about anywhere else, but the TRU here has the games clearly marked with a 50% off card below the game case.Got MGS2 Substance for 7.50.BTW,is this game any good?I figure I'll get 8 bucks of fun out of it,but I've never played any of the MGS games.

Do you like your games with 75% FMV cutscenes explaining the story and 25% action? If so then you are in for a treat. A solid (AI) and beautiful game with many extras from the original PS2 version. Yet the major complaint is there are too many lengthy cut scenes. Cut scenes you better not pass over as it could hinder your process in the game. If you go into this game with the thought "really in-depth interactive movie" you will enjoy it. Also the story is going to be pretty confusing the whole way through. The sad part is it wont be because you never played the previous versions. The Japanese writers of this series are "different", to put it kindly.

The early look of Metal Gear Solid 3 has the game focusing more on gameplay and less on movie cutscenes. It should eventually make it out to the Xbox withing a year of being exclusive to the PS2 (hopefully).

Thanks for the info-are the zillions of VR missions non-story driven?I was wondering about the "pick up and play" factor.

That would explain what happened. I had them do a price check. I will go back tomorrow and purchase the game and remember the term "green tag."

Thanks for the info.

The VR missions are non-story driven. As for pick up and play you have a really long set of cut-scenes before you even get to play around on the ship. I would mess around with those before you did the story. Helps you get used to the controls, shooting, etc. Before starting the story mode I would have a couple hours set aside to play it.

I went to my local TRU yesterday and they didn't have any of the games that were on the list (xbox). I always get suckered by these things and go there to find crap.
