Finally gave in and picked up this game.
Definitely a smoother gameplay experience than ESPN. For some reason, I just am not fluid at all at ESPN, while in Madden everything seems to be better for me (maybe it is familiarity). What amazes me is how different this game is from NCAA--almost night/day difference.
Unfortunately, I am not sure the Colts' playbook will allow me to do well with them again, as the play action takes too long and I have to make a rushed throw. The defense really gets after it as well, I can't run worth anything at this point and any stupid decision I make in the passing game (throw into double coverage, for instance) will be penalized.
I really like it so far, nice improvement over last year.

I'm starting to come around on Madden. I only went 1-3 in my preseason with the Jets on All-Pro, but I made a lot of progress by the last game, a 24-20 loss to the Eagles. In the third game, I was able to hold the Giants scoreless, beating them 24-0. That was a big ray of hope. I was able to rush for 75 and 96 yards respectively in those last two games, so progress there as well.
The varying touch you can put on passes is pretty amazing, and the Xbox triggers are perfect for lofting balls over the linebackers to receivers running slant routes. Great feeling.
I cannot STAND all the reviews and reversals of fumbles, especially because I'm usually the one that's getting screwed.
