ESPN Hockey Demo - Su-WEEEET!

Our focus on football may be short lived. My Xbox magazine arrived yesterday, and sure enough the ESPN Hockey demo is on there!
 
 Played 2 games (1 period demo) last night, and I´m thoroughly impressed. Last year´s solid control and gameplay is intact, but the S-move goal scoring ´trick´ is gone ...and the graphics are a MAJOR improvement...Everything looks sharper, brighter and more detailed. The addition of ESPN-style replays etc. is just icing on the cake.
 
 There are some SICK new moves. Dekes can be made with the Right Analog stick...One example is a goal I scored last night...Racing down-ice just to the right of the goal, I popped the puck over the stick of the defender in front of me. Elbowed past him and regained the puck (in about a 2-second maneuver with a simple flick of the stick) and immediately shot it short-side behind the left leg of the goalie...stunning to watch!
 
 This game is going to be absolutely unbelievable...

And it´s out just a week after ESPN NFL Football! Man, September is going to be one sweet team-sports gaming month with those two titles!

I have held off on the football purchases so far as I am totally pumped for NFL 2K4. It looks awesome. Can´t wait to return a punt in the new first person mode. All of the goodies look exceptional, primetime show, cribs, etc.
 
 I am still loving NHL 2K3 will hrudey´s sliders, if 2K4 is even better, look out.
