OT: MP3 Organizer

Post by pacuca »

Guys,

I have a huge number of MP3 files scattered over my hard drive and I'm looking for a software product that is easy to use, yet powerful enough to scan my hard drive and organize all my MP3 files from their tags (Artis/Album) into separate Artist and Album folders.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Almost any decent jukebox software should do the trick. Obviously, my choice is iTunes.

If you tell it upon install to scour your HD for files, it will find every mp3. Then just click Advanced->Consolodate Library and every track will be moved to a music folder with Artist->Album structure based upon the mp3 tags.

Easy enough.

Agreed...iTunes is the way to go. It's really damn simple. I have my stuff organized already so I can't really tell how good of a job it does for a big ass mess of mp3s scattered about.
