Indy Racing Tonight
A huge thanks to you guys for letting the newbie in. Up until the true test of Indy late in the night i was at least average. (was not responsible for one re-start prior to that track--for real, not kidding). Anyway, thanks again and looking forward to finishing dead last for many races to come.

Good fun all around last night after a few hiccups at the start. Rally, you did really well for your first time online -- give yourself some credit!
See you cats next week.
Take care,
PK

I'd like to nominate myself as official POLE for ALL future races. You all seemed to appreciate my pacing on the starts, so I look at this as a public service.
The early part of last night was frustrating, but once we got into a race things were (oddly enough) exceptionally clean, with very few mid-race cautions.
I got several spontaneous boots (understandable, PK was kicking me out because he's intimidated by my SKILLS!). The last one made it clear that the divine powers of XBL thought I should go to bed.
PK's setup in California should be either copied or outlawed. I'm not sure I could even make out his vehicle, it came up behind me and passed in a blur of yellow; I was so fascinated by it that I nearly hit the wall - and I soiled myself...
One things for sure. Nechthai has it out for me. That's 2 nights in a row where my accidents have had conspicuous relation to him. I'm on to you! I'm on to you! Next time, I'm gunning for you...This time it's personal.
Great game, that's for sure. Already making me look forward to Indy 2006.
I think we should start a "league" in our Sunday night session. At least an informal tally of race positions for the evening so that each week we can crown (pigpen) a winner.

Sport, I was pondering a league setup as well. I think it would be fun, no one really dominates due to accidents, bad strategies, etc...outside of PK at Cali.
I know my XBL time is going to be drastically reduced over the next month or so and is so sporadic anyways that I'm not sure I could commit, but it would be awesome. I missed all the TOCA fun and don't want to keep missing these things!
Good racing last night, but man am I tired today.

You speak as if the ToCA league is done. Let me assure you my friend that it is not. Next Wed. we are starting a 9 round DTM series in the DSP MLR format, so you (and anyone else) are welcome to get involved by trying to qualify for round 2 etc. in the monday races (still need to find someone who can host those, but still).Dave wrote: I missed all the TOCA fun and don't want to keep missing these things!

I would be into an IndyCar league, but the online problems worry me. Parallel universe weirdness etc. puts a big damper on longer races. The biggest problem is you don't really know necessarily if there are lots of problems or not. In a 20 lapper, you can just finish it off, whatever, but a 1/2 distance, I dunno. Also, this black-flag thing is KILLING me. This is now 3 or 4 times in the last couple of sessions that I've been black flagged because the car that causes the yellow is the car just in front of me. This kind of thing bothers me a lot in these pickup races, but in a league situation, i would be really unhappy.
I wish they would patch that (and while they're at it, patch the pace-car AI- whoever the celebrity driver is in that thing is a MENACE!!).
