Franchise improvements look fantastic and the UI is great.
Agree. I don't know if it will sway a lot of people to purchase the game as they're still hung up on the visuals, but there's no denying they haven't made some positive improvements.

I would have liked to have seen updated grass/turf textures, but I don't remember the uniforms moving around like they did in the video, kind of reminded me of MLB 2k baseball.
The trades were a bit odd too, like Pete Alonso being traded after he just signed a 5yr deal with the Orioles. I'm sure they will need to patch once they get feedback post release, the trade hub was built from the ground up.
It's that time of the year, 74 degrees here today, BBQ going and Spring Training on TV, baseball fever is here.

A franchise guy I trust gave his thoughts via Twitch after his return from his trip to see the game and play it.
Game sounds incredible and I just purchased the Digital Deluxe for $90 so I can play it Friday. (took the day off too)
I'm still on the fence about buying it for Friday. It would be nice to have it to play on a weekend. I used the Royals at the end of last year in online versus. I really enjoyed their line up and got to know their players. I am thinking maybe doing a franchise with them since I never play as an AL team.
But I know the 20 extra bucks will be a waste because half the s*** from SDS works during the early period you pay for. But still it's be nice to kick back and play some baseball starting this Friday.
This year's version doesn't really excite me. They missed the boat again by not having the WBC as a separate mode. 3 years ago WBC program in DD was probably the most fun program in DD I've ever played. I'm sure it'll be just as fun but not sure why these guys couldn't have put it in a separate mode.

looks like I have $50 credit for Xbox.
But i want to buy for ps5 since i'm trying to transition non-exclusives more towards ps5.
but it will only cost me like $50 for the deluexe version on xbox and I can start playing Friday.
Not sure what to do.
Personally, I'm waiting. I like to use a pretty up to date roster before I dive in to Franchise. Yeah, it'd be fun to play some baseball but it's a looong season. And no doubt there will be an update or two to the mode. I'll get by watching some gameplay videos, watching the basketball tournaments, and of course Pokopia..

Check out this guy's video. He looks specifically at the Royals franchise.
