iRacing Arcade

Demo is up on steam. 2 qualifying laps followed by a 6 lap race. First impressions are very good. Hopefully, there will be a single player mode.

Thanks for the alert on this. This title snuck up on my big time. I will definitely give it a try. I have no idea what to expect from it though.

Okay, I downloaded the demo and gave it a try. It has that iRacing feel to it that makes the interface feel engaged. I is mostly arcade, but that's what you would expect given the title, but it does reward good braking and accelerating.

I don't know what made me think I was going to be able to use my FFB steering wheel with this, but I was disappointed to find that it was controller only. I suck at all racing games with a controller and this one is no different for me in that regard. It also is chase view only. I can't handle a chase view with a steering wheel, let alone a controller. As good as this game feels and executes, I feel totally lost and inept at controlling the car between the controller and the chase view.
