Just got the game John. How and what’s the Lock code all about? Will be trying the gameplay soon, and where do we find the DS tournaments that you create? Thanks.
The Lock code? I'm not sure what you are referring to here James... does it have something to do with that 2K membership you had to confirm or create to play the demo? I couldn't remember my 2K password and I had to create a new account to play the demo. I remember that being a royal pain in the ass but I finally got it done somehow.
If you go to the "Join Society" option on the "Online Societies" menu from the main page, and type in "Digital Sportspage" it should take you there. I have made it public for now, but if we start getting crashed by trolls I'll have to revisit that.
The course (Quosatana) that today's tournament is being played was selected based on its organic looks, not its playability as a course. It's a bit over the top on a few holes with the narrow tree lines. I'm finding the user created courses so far haven't really come out in abundance yet, but I expect that to improve this week based on what I'm reading from some of my favorite designers.
It’s under settings I guess, and it was under “Redeem Locker Code” whatever that is. What’s’ that code all about and how to go about it? BTW, good job for answering as many enquirers as you can.
Oh yeah... Locker Code... yes that is one where if you have a code it will entitle you get get certain equipment, clothing, or accessories. There are like maybe four of them that I know of. Here are two that I know of that still work:
HELLOGOLFERS—Redeem for 500 VC and 1 Yellow Hat
LVLUP—Redeem for 1 LVL UP Token
Under settings/redeem locker code, enter those codes and it will open those items up to you.
Everyone, this course we're playing tonight in the Digital Sportspage Society, called Shell Bay Links looks to be a stunner. I think I'll get a practice round in there to check it out before the main event. BTW, if you've been away from the game for a while, the tournaments start at midnight GMT, or 7:00 PM EDT.
Played my first career round on the Korn Ferry Tour and shot a -1 71 at Deer Run. Fun round. The game definitely plays better than last year. The Career mode is more robust. I like the swing mechanics, ball flight, etc on 2K more than EA. The graphics are improved but are a slight notch below EA’s game IMO. Really enjoying the game.

I'm at my place in Florida so my old gaming rig is here, my new one which is much better is back at home. I'm not sure how to export the saved videos if that is even possible. With that said I'm running it at 3440x1440 on an ultra wide. My graphics setting is high but some items are set to ultra. It is silky smooth for sure. I haven't tried Ultra setting I'm going to give that a shot right now before I go play real golf in 2 hours.
Thanks... I have never seen this series played on an ultra wide. Are you maintaining 60 FPS on this system? I'd love to see what this game would feel like at 120 FPS. As much as I rely on the golfer animation for gauging my swing, I can't help but think this would take the game to a new level.
I'm really anxious now to read your report on how this game runs on your new rig! What are the specs on your new system, btw?
Well I'm not going back up north until May but it plays great on my old rig as well. New rig specs at least the ones that matter.
intel i5 14 core
Geoforce RTX 4070 12G Founders edition
128 gigs of memory, Kingston FuryBeats 6000mhz
1 2TB SSD
1 4 TB SSD
Playing on an Ultrawide is fantastic.

Is there a way to turn off controller vibration on the DSP events or make it user selectable? I play much better when I turn that off.
I looked into this and it seems that the vibration settings have to be on, and to the same extent for all players, or they have to be off for all. I am surprised that they wouldn't allow you to turn them OFF if desired individually, because it's certainly not going to give you and advantage to have them off. I would be a train wreck without the rumble for putting feel. I have enough trouble regulating putt distance with it on.
What are others thoughts on this?
I'm at least going to suggest to HB Studios that an option be added to allow users to turn vibration OFF. I can't see where an option to turn a performance aid OFF is going to give anyone an advantage?

I'm going to hold off on playing in DSP Events until I can seem to figure this game out a little better. Just been doing Quick Play rounds on various official courses from the blues on default Pro difficulty. The only consistency I can find in this game is that if there's a sand trap anywhere in the vicinity I am definitely going in it.
Seriously though, I can't make rhyme or reason as to which way my shot is going to go and why. The only place it's not going is where I'm intending it to.
Currently shooting anywhere from +15-20 per round.
I could swear in yesterday’s event that I landed in 75% of the sand bunks whether it was in the middle of a fairway or near the greens. Having said that, it is easier to get off those traps than in 2K23 in my opinion.
Pretty sure you have to grind the game, as your attributes for your player gets better, clubs, etc.
Personally hitting it straight on a consistent basis has been difficult.

I joined the society. Not sure I’ll play every tourney but I’ll be there for some.
We're glad to have you back amongst us Bill. There's no minimum requirement for number of tournaments played. I'd love to see us get our numbers up to a dozen or more. That makes it feel a little more significant.

I've put in 20+ hours so far and I'm 91 ovr technician. I still can't hit the ball straight consistently.
There are some rounds where I can play pretty good and one hole just messes me up. It's been fun though.
I'm an 87 Technician... it looks like I'm capped at 77 on my putter weight though. I wanted to take that as high as I could because I still feel like the putter just doesn't have the mass it should have. The contact doesn't feel or sound like as good a strike as I'd like at 77.
Well I picked it up...sucker for golf games even tho I spend all day in VR Golf+. Something to be said to just be chilling on the couch and playing w/ the boys. So once the regular version drops Friday I'll be back!
Bought the game today through cdkeys for $58. Gotta save every dollar I can. Anyways, it'll be a long while before I feel comfortable to play online.
If anyone is having any problems adjusting to the game, I found a great youtuber who is extremely well versed in this game and is awesome at explaining things. His name on YT is Gamer Ability.
