Good job Vader!

Joz, looks like you extracted revenge on Tuesday's course, Sonny's Prairie Green GC! A 60 on that course is a fine piece o-work in my book. Heck, I was proud of my 63 that tied Vadar's ghost I was playing with. I wasn't watching the leaderboard in between holes because I didn't want to get a future score for Vadar, and spoil the drama. I should have so I could have perhaps been motivated by that -12 total you posted!

Thanks John. I like that course and was surprised we were playing it again. I just wanted to match my Monday score of 64 thinking somebody would have to light it up again to beat it as Vader did Monday.

It was definitely a nice change of pace after Bethpage over the weekend. Again, F that course :)

And welcome to the new faces.

I hope that a future iteration of the game will take at least some of your criticisms into account. Many of which, have been aired and acknowledged by HBS... how much and whether they do anything about them is another story.

When you say you can't get the tempo swing to work for you in 2019, are you saying you're having trouble hitting a perfect/perfect tempo? I hit perfect/perfect maybe 85% of the time using Pro clubs, and maybe 75% of the time using Master clubs.
No matter how hard I try to hit the ball straight it never follows that path. I either hit the ball left or right, usually left. When I look at the swing analyzer it typically draws a backward "S" or a backwards "7". I have NO problems with my swing in TGC and TGC 2 both on the PC and PS4. On the XONE it's a problem.

I wanted to play it again because I set it up wrong the last time. I would really love to play that course in real life. friendBOMBER, the guy who created that course using LiDAR says that it's a great place to play golf.

If I was on my game and could hit Master clubs with a reasonable degree of control, like I could up until about November or December of last year, Bethpage Black would be a lot more fun to tackle.

I've seen something like you're describing on rare occasions. I see it more on the stock controller than my Elite controller though. I'm not sure what produces it, but when I see it happen I tend to make subsequent strokes with a motion that's a little more deliberate and measured to work it out. Problem then is that when I do that the dreaded "perfect/slow" tempo becomes a greater possibility. Nothing irks me more in this game than to have a "SLOW" downswing punished by a shot that winds up with more carry distance on it!? I truly hope HBS rethinks that aspect of the current shot mechanic for the next edition.

That dreaded swing pretty much summarizes my swing for the past 3 months or so. To the point where I don’t have the swing feedback on anymore. We played Skins yesterday with Vader at the Tiger Woods’ course (a pretty course at that btw) and while the fairways were very fair, my drives would end up most of the time in the rough because of my downswing. We discussed controllers, at this point I am not ready to invest in an elite controller yet if it makes that much of a difference.

How about they just give us who don't won't to deal with their wonky swing mechanics an option for a meter swing or a 3 Click option? The only people who never have a problem with their golf swing are those that Dan recently talked about where they modded their Xbox controller and i'm not doing that just to play their game.

They won't offer a 3-click option; they've said repeatedly over the last four years that it's not part of their design philosophy.

The people who do that have allowed the "game" to be stolen from them. I feel sad for them...

I think the Elite controller helps some with that, but I get it maybe 15% of the time (tempo errors of all types with Pro clubs) with mine. Some of the more recent XBox One controllers have a feature in which you can pull the stick outward, until you feel a click (you can't hear it) and it increases the tension on the stick making it feel less sloppy. This might be something to try if you have access to it on yours?

BTW, I'll add that Tiger Woods course to next week's dailies. I've been seeing it mentioned but never got around to playing it... thanks for the reminder!

The Elite controller may not be a modded controller but it is better than a stock XB1 controller and it 100% in my mind helps with the swing path issue Rod is talking about.

I played on tournament clubs for a month, didn't care about my scores and what it did was make me find what worked with my stock controller and I dropped back down to players and have less issues with my swing but I still get that swing path that looks like an X or upside down J for no apparent reason.

The unfortunate truth is there is no good fix for this which is why golf games will always be stuck with these issues when they use these swing methods. The 3 click method might not of been as fun but it was a lot hard to cheat and also opened up the possibilities for making the "sweet spot" on the meter being affected by lie and golfer attributes.

Rod if you want to fix your swing issues to enjoy the game and don't want to spend money on a controller you can try this method :D

That'll work. Be aware though, I had to binge play my final three rounds last Sunday night/Monday morning, and the final round didn't smile on me... I posted a 94! Heck, I could'a played Bethpage Black better than that in real life!

Congrats on the ace! ⛳️

I’m so bad off the tee on par 3s that I don’t think I’ll ever get one myself.

We'd like to see you back in the mix to go along with the new blood signing on. We should have four new members in the Society by Friday at the latest! I love having to scroll to the next page to see the entire leaderboard in a DSP tournament 8)

Dan, I didn't see your round listed among the rounds to choose from as I was setting up my round late last night from among the ghost or rival choices. Are you sure your round got recorded? At the end of my round, I didn't see your round on the leaderboard either. Something must have gone awry with the submission or saving of your round?

I'll go back and try to play a local round with your ghost at Trump National Colts Neck and see if it shows up there... I'll let you know.

When I finished I was -6 and top to the leader board for 4 guys, I think 1 ahead of Joz.

That would figure, I finally have a good round and poof it's gone. :D

Well, I just looked at the results from yesterday's tournament and lo and behold, your -6 round is showing. I swear, it wasn't showing when I finished my round at like 11:30 PM last night!? I'm glad it kept it and you're on the books. I can't say I've ever seen a delay in a round getting credited anywhere near this long.
