I thought the Canes played a strong road game until they run into penalty problems losing a bit of their cool in the third. They were very good in the second period especially and started retaliating in the third causing them game 1.

I saw a lot of speed in the Sharks forwards that the Blues just couldn’t match up. The way Meier blew up that D after Parayko’s turn over was a beauty doing a Forsberg move. Equally nice was O’Reilly’s goal before. Jones was strong again making key saves. Pretty entertaining start to the series.

Where did Bortuzzo gets those soft hands from? Nice goal, I thought after the Sharks tied the game they would get all the momentum back. Logan Couture is just $$$ in the playoffs, ditto for Schwartz. The grinders did it for the Blues this time, good road game.

Borts was amazing tonight!!! Hits, blocked shots and a goal! How he has sat out during the playoffs baffles me.

What a rollercoaster of a game. I can’t imagine all the emotions going thru The Sharks-Blues fans. I can see the frustration by the Blues in the non reviewable play, but with an open net they should have sealed an improbable comeback. What else can I say about Logan Couture tying the game?

Jones was big again in the third after a shaky second, not a way you want an OT to end for sure. An emotional game, Blues need to regroup and come guns blazing next game. Refs blew the call.

The distinction of what’s reviewable or not is getting too ridiculous.

It’s the end of a great Cinderella story for the Canes. There was never a doubt in my mind as to who would win this series as the Bruins are just a better, deeper team. T. Rask has been phenomenal, they’ve been healthy, they are just a well balanced team. Hope the western conference finals goes to 7.

It was. Didn’t expect a SO for sure. As I’ve been saying, J.Schwartz has been soo good for the Blues since the first round, the way Couture shows up for the Sharks. They’ll have all the home crowd to cheer them to the finals but SJ has been very resilient every time they faced elimination. They missed two key guys in the third as the Blues continue to play their physical game.
