This team was in last place in early January, what a difference a goaltender can make.

Can’t think of a hotter guy that Jaden Schwartz scoring the last four goals, J. Binnington was good too. For a team against the ropes, I expected a more desperate effort from WIN, that second period was pretty lethargic and undisciplined from them. You gotta have more than 20 shots overall man.

Blues’ second goal probably wouldn’t have counted but they were out of challenges, it was a series of inches among these two teams.

Early Easter encounter between the Bruins-Leafs today, with a must win game for BOS and they played their best game yet in the series with a must win and a game 7 win it all on Thursday. Faceoffs were crucial, lot of traffic in net, Debrusk and Marchand were the pest they needed to be and their PP was good.

Should be a dandy of a game 7.

The NHL continues to have two sets of rules for that c*** chara and the rest of the league. It is painful to watch.

When you get to game 7s it’s usually the grinders and plumbers line that make a difference. Bruins continue to be the Leafs nemesis as T. Rask outplayed Andersen despite TOR playing at times better than the home team. Despite adding some depth this year, Leafs still need another solid D man and more grit upfront. N. Kadri took himself out of the lineup in game with his stupidness and payed the price being suspended for the rest of the series.

It’s game 7 too now between the Sharks and Knights, I am giving a slight edge to Vegas but these Sharks have a lot of experience and came back nicely into the series after falling 1-3 early on.

M.A. Fleury to be the difference in my opinion.

What a hard fought series in CA, an incredible come back from behind for the Sharks. Down already 3-0 into the third with 11 minutes to go, they were just lethal on a long 5 minutes PP climbing ahead in the game with 4 goals in 4 minutes only to be tied with a minute to go and going into OT. Hope Pavelski is alright, scary watching him leak all that blood into the dressing room.

Three games in a row against a very good Vegas team is no easy feat. E. Karlsson was gassed, J. Thornton’s beard grew greyer.

An incredible game, incredible series, what a come back.

I don’t know what it is, but the champs don’t look as sharp the way they started game 7 in the first period. Carolina seems to be making more plays, they look more dangerous, and the game is heading into OT. It would be another upset in this wacky first round version of the playoffs where nothing is going according to plan. But nothing beats OT excitement in game 7s.

Bruins dodged another bullet, tying the game late in the third and eventually winning the game in OT. So many games have gone to OT this year with exciting finishes.

Not a bad road game by the Jackets considering they haven’t played much, Marcus Johansson has been hot for BOS lately setting up both key goals.

It’s Blues with a slight edge so far vs DAL. Nice to see Robbie Fabbri back playing again after all the injuries he suffered, nice goal.

Both Columbus and Dallas even up their series.

Blues went 0-5 on the PP and that ultimately hurt them in Game 2. They need to continue their dominance on the road in Dallas.

There’s just no quitting in this Avs team, down one zip, they keep hustling, fighting hard against the boards, racing to the supposedly icing calls and beating it while sacrificing big hits to make the threading passes. They got speed, skills, they are a fun bunch to watch.

CBJ, CBJ, screams the crowd, tight tight game 3 with Bobrovsky standing tall again and a gritty game from the home team throwing their bodies literally to block shots just like Torts likes it. The Bergeron line looked out of synch for BOS.

Next game to watch: Avs-Sharks.

Oh sweet home CAROLINA. They are in total control of the series, Isles are down a D-man and without Boychuck they are showing again their poor form that plagued them during the regular season.

Much closer between DAL-STL instead as the home team tied the series 2-2. They cut down on their penalties, were very disciplined, and no embellishment by Lindell.

Down 4-1, I know that Perron tried to get his team going, got into Bishops’ head but refs you gotta call that hack on his back. Binnington should refocus too, tried to hack J. Benn a couple of times.

It’s best of 3 there.

Just a I was mentioning that the Bergeron line needed a boost, well they surely got it tonight with two solid goals from him and making their men advantage count. Having said that, CBJ is so dangerous being a man short, they break out so quickly that they often look dangerous even when killing a penalty.

This close series is going back to BOS all tied up on Saturday.

Sharks will look to get a stranglehold on the pesky Avs.

The odds were 80-1 for the Canes at the beginning of the season. After the sweep, their chances improved to 18-4 with a team full of sandpaper guys, no stars and a backup goaltender. You may recognize the names of Justin Williams, J. Staal, and that’s pretty much it. But they do have some great youngsters like S. Aho who’s exciting to watch and under the coaching of their adopted son and former captain R. Brindamour, they are now in the finals of the eastern conference. Great run.

Justin Williams is a stud. Reminds me when we had Troy Brouwer back in the 2015-16 season. Guys that just lead and get it done in the playoffs.

Blues cannot score on the PP and lose a tough one tonight. Bishop was great but good teams find ways to score. Binny was also great and Dallas found the back of the net twice.

What a thriller in BOS. With the game 2-0 in favor for the Bruins, they looked in control until that crazy third period where the Jackets kept getting close and looked to extend the game into OT. Pastrnak was the difference very late in the third as Rask was saved by the post too.

Still wouldn’t be surprised if CBJ stretched the series to 7, it’s that close.

Big game for your boys. He didn’t look the same after Parayko’s heavy shot and he’s a big part of the Stars success so far. Not surprising this game is going the distance, if Bishop is not dressed up I am giving the Blues a slight advantage.

Looks like the Oilers finally found their new GM in Ken Holland. A bit surprised that he would take over this mess as the expansion Seattle would have been a nice fit for him. With an accomplished pupil like Stevie Y in Detroit, Holland felt probably that it’s time to move on.

Marty Jones was the big difference in the third when the Avs kept coming. Didn’t expect SJ to be protecting the lead the whole period even with Pavelski back in the lineup who scored a goal. The semis are all set, it’s been a wacky playoffs to say the least.

That offside call on the Colorado goal changed the whole game.
