Do you have to keep opening old wounds? Luongo’ up and down in 2011, not running the ball with Beastmode at the goal line vs the bloody Pats in 2015, complaining about Messi unable to finish the Germans 4 years ago, while it was G. Higuain’s lack of execution...

Man, they all hurt equally. :x

Look, Jets did a great late acquisition in P. Stastny, he’s been a true leader in these playoffs for them. Guys like B. Wheeler, M. Scheifele, C. Hellebuyck, the Buff have left a deep impression in the series.

They had to test Rinne early in the game as I was saying earlier, and they did. They probably watched the finals last year where Pekka just can’t seem to cope well with pressure.

Lightning pretty poor. you are playing the crapitals the biggest chokers there are....True losers. 8)

Those Golden Knights are just a couple of games always from a SC finals. They are such a resilient team, masters of creating turnovers. Thought the Jets deserved better luck tonight, they outplayed the home team for the past 40minutes but once again J.M. Fleury came up with some huge athletics saves to preserve the win.

A. Vasilevskiy put a Fluery job on the Caps and the Lightning absolutely stole game 4 last night. Home ice doesn't seem to mean much to either team in the playoffs as both teams have only lost once on the road. Can't figure this series out.
And its crazy that an expansion team is 2 wins away from playing for the Stanley Cup , and its not like they snuck up on anyone as they were a force all year long ,with everyone waiting for that bubble to burst,,, except that bubble seems to made of kevlar

Yeah, he was outstanding and stole both games in WAS for the Bolts. I mean they got outplayed badly yesterday and now it’s the best of 3. Caps need to stay out of the penalty box because TPA will make them pay.

Looking for the Jets to bounce back tonight in Vegas. I mean that game 3 was tilted towards Winnipeg, and Fleury just stood on his head.

Wash is toast. No way they win 2 in a row again.

also, seems like there has been barely any OT hockey this season.

I mean really. I’ve been telling people to look for them after 30 games going into the regular season. No one gave a damn. Then I predicted them to beat both CA teams too. But to the SC finals? Who are these bunch of outcast players? They are so poised, they don’t run into dumb penalty issues, they all pursue the puck tireslesly.

They just transition from D to offense with incredible speed.M. A. Fleury is their main reason to believe.

Just an unbelievable run.

I've been entertained these playoffs. Am I correct to assume that Tampa vs Vegas would be a ratings catastrophe? The league surely was hoping for Winnipeg vs Washington. I'll watch, but the ratings could be really low.

Tampa has an incredible fan base from what I've seen when I've been down there. I also hear Vegas fandom is off the charts so I'm not sure i agree. Most casual fans aren't watching when their teams are eliminated but I wouldn't think the TV ratings for that match up any worse then the other.

I'm pulling for Tampa as my friends has connections with the team so he told me to pick any game at either site and he will get tickets. Can't decide whether to go to Tampa or Vegas. :D

Game 6 was as dominant as I’ve seen them play when it comes to desperate hockey. If they stay the course they have a chance in TPA to advance.

Both teams displaying their speed, it’s been an emotional swingcoaster to say the least. Hope all the games turn out to be like this one so far...500 to 1 at the beginning of the season for the Golden Knights to win the SC, yet here they are, favorites. An unbelievable ride.

Caps have been playing very sound hockey since being against the ropes vs TPA in game 6. Even losing the first game in Vegas they were a focused group. The difference now with the Knights is that M. A. Fleury looks human and the first line of Marchessault and Karlsson are not producing as effectively as they had during the playoffs.

I still think the series can still go 7, I am hoping anyhow as the games have been quite entertaining to watch.

I have been and will be rooting for Vegas as that is such an amazing story but the Caps are the better team.

I would not be surprised if they win the next two and close it out in five.

Truly not the Crapitals any more.

Its very cool watching Ovechkin get the MVP and then skate the cup.

Nothing better than the NHL playoffs.

They were the better team, no doubt. I still remember no one giving them any chance whatsoever when they were already down 0-2 in the series with the Jackets in the first round and literally had to pull a miracle in double OT in Columbus to turn the series around. I am happy for Ovvy who deserves the Conn Smyth trophy, I am happy for Barry Trotz. Caps have talented players like Backstrom, Kutnetzov, Carlson but just couldn’t add the pieces together over the years until now for different reasons.

More importantly I think Ovechkin learned that besides being a lethal sniper, he had to be responsible defensively at the other side of the ice.

On the series with the Pens and without Malkin in the beginning, that’s when I thought the Caps had a really good chance of going all the way.

Tonight, when the game was already 3-2 for the Knights, he gave the puck away while on a PP and hustled back as if his life depended on it. If it turned into a goal, we would all be watching game 6. That was a key moment I thought tonight.

Congratz to WAS and what a story for Vegas. A cast of misfits apparently that believed in each other from the get go and played a brand of hockey that was hard to match with their speed and relentless pursuit of the puck.

Woohoo! Almost hard to believe it actually happened, but then again when it was all over, it just seems just and right. They won in style, and yet it was never easy. I’m so happy they finished it off in 5 - no Caps fan ever feels safe with a 3 games to 1 lead. Looks like a really amazing party down by the Portrait Gallery!

Thank you Abe Pollin for building that arena, and properly patriating the Caps (and repatriating the Bullets) into D.C. proper and transforming that formerly not-so-great part of downtown. And thanks also for selling the Caps to Leonsis, a true quality sports team owner, whose done so many things right, not least of which was fully committing and signing up Ovechkin to a very expensive long-term deal, but also being classy by, for example, sending 200 or so employees of his company to Vegas for games 1 and 2, gratis (and a total surprise to said employees). Classy guy. Other owners in sports, and *ahem* in Washington could learn a lot about how quality people in ownership and management can indeed lead to true success in the sports arena.

Wish I could’ve been in Chinatown last night to enjoy that amazing scene first hand.
