Re: AC Origins
Just started diving into the final dlc, Curse of the Pharoahs. This has been the most rewarding game I've purchased on the xb1 yet. What a great dlc. Barely scratched the surface, but this is quite a bit different in many regards...

Re: AC Origins
That DLC is getting bad user reviews on Steam. I've never even come close to finishing the game so I won't be looking at it anytime soon. What does the DLC consist of?

Re: AC Origins
It's done with artifacts that have been stolen from pharoah's tombs, causing a curse that includes dead Pharoahs and legendary protectors to rise from the dead. At first I thought it was going to be a zombie mode, but thankfully that isn't the case. At least yet. What I have done so far is retrieve an artifact of Nefertiti and return it, which let's you travel through the underworld to a sort of afterlife, which is one of the coolest things I've seen in a game. I don't have the capacity to understand bad reviews of this DLC. I've enjoyed every aspect of it thus far.

Re: AC Origins
I didn't read them, it just showed up on steam and it said user reviews mostly negative. I didn't go in and read them. I want to get back to this game but I need to finish Divinity first and Check your Six comes out tomorrow so that will have my attention.

Re: AC Origins
I feel about the same. Not really engaged in the story and there's only been 2 side quests that were memorable. I'm at level 30 and I've been sticking with it to try and finish before FC5.Danimal wrote:Yes it is by no means a bad game and visually the world they created rivals the Witcher but I just feel like I'm dong the same thing over and over. I haven't had any quests effect me like say the Bloody Baron quest in Witcher 3.
So when I see everyone rave about it I'm wondering am I missing something? I've mainly stuck to the story quest and seldom venture off those.
Ubisoft is following the same formula its games lately (Ghost Recon, FarCry, AC), making the game world huge. But its just a bunch of similar smaller parts to clear out in the same way. I hope there's a little more variety in FC5. The story looks better and at least there's coop to mix things up a bit.

And this morning I couldn't stop exploring. Stumbled upon a nice side quest involving a meteor that netted some gold items and a weird cut scene.

I know the one you're talking about. That weird cross-game tie-in was...odd.
I liked the story aspects of the game, but it's definitely a Ubisoft-open-world-game. Map littered with things to do, and it gets a little monotonous just clearing icons after the first 5 or 6 zones. But, for some reason, it's a game I've kept coming back to for 5 months whenever I have a little downtime.
Love it, love it, love it.

Re: AC Origins
Was under the weather this weekend so I finally finished the main story - 50 plus hours, which also included a lot of side quests and exploring. I like how the "origins" story wrapped up.

Played a few hours this week.
Its more of the same. Witcher 3 light meets Splinter Cell at Assassins Creed in ancient Egypt which is a good thing.
Great fun.
