I didn’t, but some on TGC Tours did on standard X1 and PS4 consoles.

I'm running it on my XB1X and it is not just that course. For whatever reason the last 2 days the game is laggy. Not sure if there is a way to clear it up or not.

Riviera results, even Bubba couldn't compete with Divot. :P

I'm not sure how to describe what I've seeing recently on the XBox One X with this game, but it seems like about at least 1/3 of the time now, I have reset my swing after making my initial attempt. It's like I start moving the stick back, yet the animation freezes at address. It picks up eventually, but if I go what that's swing to completion, it's going to wind up "Very Slow/Perfect", which yields fatal results, usually.

When I get a hint of this happening, I stop and readdress the ball and continue on. It never shows a hint of happening after the reset. I consider this a waggle now and it's starting to become second nature to me. I will say that I have a considerably harder time getting "perfect/perfect" tempo on the X than I do on the PC, but I'm ridiculous on the PC, where I get perfect/perfect probably 90% of the time.

As for the Genesis tournament, I enjoyed Riviera more than I thought I would. I played okay up until the 8th hole in round 3. I came to that hole -2 for the round. I took 4 shots to get down from 16 yards from the pin... the ball rolled back to my feet twice after I'd left my chip shot short on the severely sloped green. I had to make an 11 footer for double bogey. That kicked me into John Daly pout mode and my scoring reflected that the rest of the round as I went from -2 to +8

I used only 21 putts in round 4, but still managed only a 66. I missed a lot of greens in the round, but got up and down on all or them. I had a number of approaches that felt well struck, but probably ran through 5 or 6 greens and off the back. I didn't feel like I deserved a 66 for the way I played, but 21 putts will make up for a lot of bad shots. I played with 10sPro and Danimal's ghosts in that round so it helped keep me focused having their scores to shoot for also!

Kudos to Tim, especially for that 61 in round 2... that's sick!

Wow... just realized, this thread may hit 100,000 page views by the end of tomorrow!

Gah! Stupid long weekend screwed me up and I didn't finish my last round. :x

I did see more lag than usual on this course, although I still really liked the track.

It was a humiliating round two for me at the Celebration tournament today. Tied with J Cauthen at -11 on hole #17, my strategy was to hit par there and to attack par 5 #18 in trying to catch up Vader. Instead I went for a swim on #17 not once, not twice but three times in a row before it took me two putts to finish that hole  . The first time I just was short with a cross wind of -14, I hooked badly the second time around and felt short again on my third try.

Other than #17 that just owning me, I enjoyed the course very much.

Have I had my share of rounds like that here in the last two months! I had fallen behind Vader by two strokes in the final round, but had rallied back to tie him as we played the 15th. He was off the back of the green with his approach and maybe 40' from the pin. I was looking at a 19 foot birdie putt as I watched his chip shot roll up, bump the pin and drop. Meanwhile, I ran my birdied putt 5 feet past the hole and missed the come backer for par. I love that sort of drama though as it becomes more than just shooting against a score.

I'm going to have to go back and play that course again. I don't remember having all that much of a problem with 17. I only made two bogies in the tournament and both of them were of the 3-putt variety.

I ran into the same thing... I got demoted to the CC-A tour (from the Web.com Tour) in TGC Tours last week, and tried to join the TGC Tours Society for the CC Tour. It will pull up the Society, but the program ties out when I try to join it. I played a practice round at PGA National for our tournament and there was a lot of pausing as the position for the next shot was being drawn. I hope it's a temporary server problem.

Server issues for sure, it happened to me several times. Just reboot the game quickly and it may work again. Although I did get booted out at one point as I was playing in hole #3.

Working now, saw a post on the official forums where others were having the same problems and one of the HB guys responded and fixed it very quickly.

Excellent... looking forward to playing at least one of my DSP tournament rounds tonight at PGA National... the 6 holes I got to practice there earlier this afternoon showed me that this is a brilliant course recreation! It's unreal how richly blessed The Golf Club 2 is with commercial quality, real course recreations. This game is such a bargain 8O 8)

PGA National is kicking my @ss.....-2 through 36.

Shot -32 through 72 at TGC TOURS.....

This course has a completely different feel, especially putting on the X1X....

Nice shooting so far Vader!

I shot a +10 and a +11 in my first 2 rounds. I got a case of the dreaded straights, so playing for my hook left me in a lot of bad spots. I settled down for rounds 3 and 4 but had a hard time with putts, I was reading way too much break into some of them.

One of the most fun courses though I've played.

I enjoyed the course. Challenging, yet fair. Yes, I did also overcommit on a lot of putts and even hooked a couple of shots out to the ocean. I was doing OK after two rounds shooting -6 when all of the sudden I told myself to 'Man UP' and play the Tour clubs. I thought heck I’ve been quite inconsistent with my swing lately playing the Player clubs so I gave it a go.

Went south in a hurry. From a -6 to a +2 after three rounds. Had trouble adjusting to the new clubs, but told myself to stick to it as I played with Vader on another course earlier and knew that the adjustments would’t come easy, but I gotta give it at least a couple of weeks.

Finished the PGA Nationals Even, a beautiful course.

Nice tournament Vader on a really tough but fair track.

It is fair to think that.....my first two rounds were simply brutal. Putting on the X1 is very different than the PC.

First two rounds I made about 2 more birdies than I did bogeys.....could not make a putt to save my life.

Third round.....that is the best round I have played in TGC2, X1X or PC.

Started off with a pitch in eagle at #1 and had another eagle from the fairway on one of the par 4's. Was making putts left and right. Got on a roll and stayed on it right to the end.

Fourth round was back to missing putts again and was only -1 or 2 at the turn and had to birdie my last 3 holes to get to -5.

I hit the ball much straighter on the X1 than I do on PC. I putt better on PC, except for that 3rd round.

I'm "this close" to playing on X1X again full time as I seem to enjoy the game better on the 65" versus the 32" screen.

Divot's 56 in round 3 makes me feel even more humiliated about the 85 I shot in round 4  :D I swear man, it's like in the last 9 to 10 weeks I've mostly forgotten how to play this game! I had 5, normal/fast tempos on tee shots an approaches in round 3, and 6 in round 4. I kept track of it and I only made par on one of those holes, and played the rest of them in in 12 over! Of course I got a case of the red ass late in round 4, and for the second week in a row, "Daly'd" my way in from the 14th hole on.

This was a very good course though, but it mostly owned me putting. I can't remember a tournament where I missed so many putts of seven feet and under. I think that was what had my temperment off for the off-tempo tee shots that came so frequently.

At least my suckage isn't limited to the DSP Society... I just got demoted to the CC-A Tour from the Web.com Tour at TGC Tours, and I finised 106th out of 125 golfers there two already earn two demotion srikes to the next to lowest Tour  But I swear, these guys in this CC-A Tour are posting lower scores than what I was seeing on Web.com. The winner was -47, with 9 others at -40 or less. I finished 36 shots off the lead.

Ironically, in spite of all this, I'm enjoying this game just as much now as I ever have. It brings out the "passion" of the real life sport out in me more than any other.

PGA National results, great third round Divot.

Next weekend will be one of HB Studios easier official courses Yuma the desert course since the Mexico City course isn't in the game that I could find, tops scores will probably be really low.

Vader, check your PM. I suggest next weekend’s tournament to be changed to something more challenging. Pretty sure everyone has played Yuma by now and it is indeed a walk in the park. Any suggestions for a course?

By the way, great job setting up the tournaments to match the PGA.
