That's ridiculous. Customers agreed to a contract with DirecTV to receive all out-of-market NFL games, and DirecTV is fulfilling its end of that contract.
DirecTV is not liable if customers' knickers are in a wad about a controversy that may last two weeks, tops.
That's not good customer service; that's caving to political correctness. Ironic, considering most of those in an uproar voted for a guy who ran and won the White House as an anti-PC maverick.

Bingo we have a winner!
Yup. Wanted to see Chargers/Dolphins at the tiny Stub Hub Center in LA...but no way am I paying $300+ for my 5 year old and I to see a game together. I spend money on stupid sh*t, but that's WAY out of whack. Especially when they can't even fill a 25k seat stadium.
At least here in MN, that $300+ to get in the building would invite you to spend the afternoon with a bunch of drunken louts screaming every curse word imaginable during the game. Great environment for a family outing.
Add in the insane prices for concessions (unless you're in Atlanta) and all of the downtime and watching games from home sounds so much better.

Evidently AT&T / DirecTV are feeling pressure from customers. I’m not sure I agree that this is a “two week thing” since it is a continuation of what Kaepernick started last year.
At the end of the day, there are a lot of emotions surrounding this and there are pluses and minuses to all sides of this issue. I am tired of it as are many fans. Let’s get back to football and leave politics out of the event.

Well after Googling this, I highly doubt this is true. Despite the claims in the articles you could always cancel and talk your way into a prorated refund because most people don't pay for the whole thing upfront. I know, I did it a few years back. Just because some guy from Milwaukee tells you that is the reason he got the refund, doesn't make it true. Now if DTV comes out and publicly announces this policy that is another story but I highly doubt you will see that.

I think I'm growing bored of the NFL. I still follow the Chiefs, but the games are so long and I find myself dozing off quite frequently only to wake up around the 4th quarter. I guess I'm getting old napping in my recliner. Conversely, I can watch an EPL game and find it much more interesting and entertaining.

Watching the Bears with Glennon could possible be worse than watching them with Cutler. Listening to Fox defend him every post game is absurd. Players are starting to check out, you could hear it in the post game interviews. If he starts the next home game fans will check out as well.
For all the talk that Tribusky must not be ready, I remind you that if not for injury Langford would still be Fox's starting RB. He doesn't know talent and sure as hell can't develop it. So why put it Tribusky? Simple for game experience, this team is going no where and we might as well let him play and learn.
This learning from the sidelines like Rodgers is garbage they throw out. He sat behind Favre, what is Mitch learning from Glennon, how to stand like a statue in the pocket? As for you don't want to ruin his confidence BS, every person is different and it is easy for people who haven't met Mitch to throw this out as a reason but trust me when I tell you this will never happen to this kid.
I was Ok with them not putting him in during that s*** show last night until we decided to run a 9 minute drive down 28 points where we ran the ball exclusively. I've never seen an NFL team wave the white flag with a whole quarter to go but Fox did that last night, if anyone thinks this guy should still be coaching in the NFL they are clearly f***ed in the head.

Trevathan will get a one- or two-game ban for that vicious hit, max.
The NFL talks a great game about player protection and head injuries, but it really doesn't give a sh*t. Two, Goodell doesn't want to antagonize DeMaurice Smith too much with a new round of collective bargaining and CBA negotiations coming up soon.

The Trevathan hit was bad but the guy is not a dirty player and if what I heard was true has never had a single personal foul called against him in his 6 seasons. The guy was still fighting for yards and the play has not been blown dead.
The hit was text book illegal because he dropped his helmet but I would bet every cent I own even if he hit him with his shoulder and hit him that hard it would of still drawn a flag as it was the result that was penalized. The NFL itself is a set of double standards as offensive players can do everything that is illegal on defense.
WR can push off, slap and punch DB's. Watch the little d***** bag on the Texans sometimes, the guy is literally throwing punches at the line.
RB's can dip their helmet when contact is coming on defensive players with no penalty. If I had the means I could splice a 2 hour highlight reel of RB's dropped helmet hits, illegal stiff arms etc.
Offensive Linemen can crash into a pile and push it but if a defensive player does that the player is defenseless.
The hit was bad, it was not intentional and its the result that is drawing the ire of everyone on the planet but if a RB lowers his helmet and knocks the s*** out of a DB it's on Good Morning Football as a highlight.

I’ll give Bill O’Brien credit for one thing.....after spewing the “Tom Savage is our starting QB” from the minute Deshaun Watson’ name was called in Round 1 of the draft until he pulled the plug on Savage at halftime of the opener with Jville he has looked like a genius and hasn’t looked back. Watson is developing nicely and damn near led them to a win over the Pats if O’Brien had not made some bad decisions.
Trubinsky isn’t going to learn s*** standing on the sidelines with a clipboard in his hand and a cap on his head......

Come on. Who cares if Trevathan has no previous? And who cares about his post-game contrition? Every player who delivers a hit that puts a guy on a stretcher plays the remorse game. Except for Jack Tatum.
That was a vicious, targeted, dirty hit by a guy pissed off that his team was getting its ass kicked. Full stop helmet-to-helmet BS.
Would you have a different opinion if Trevathan played for Green Bay and Adams for the Bears?

As a lifelong Bears fan who hates the Packers Trevathan's hit disgusted me. He should have been ejected last night and facing suspension today. There is no room for that in football. I don't care what his history is, it was just as embarrassing as a Bears fan as their performance last night. Trubisky needs to start and Fox needs to be fired. They have talent and are trending up in my opinion but those two things need to be fixed to improve even faster.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

Nope, not in the slightest. I think if anyone is intentionally trying to hurt someone then I have a problem with it but I don't think that was the case here.
He will get suspended and fined for sure in today's NFL.

Texans finally showed up as an NFL team and b*tch slapped the Titans.
Houston, we FINALLY have what looks like a franchise quarterback. I have been telling anyone who would listen that as soon as they drafted a franchise QB, they would finally become a true contender. Today they set all kinds of records as well as did Watson.
I have to say today’s game is the kind I have been looking for since their inception in 2002.....get the opponent down, then step on their neck. Killer instinct. It’s one game, but 2 games in a row we’ve had an offense better than any Texans team I have seen......
